Abra-ca-Debora’s pancakes are made from fresh and wholesome ingredients. Pancakes aren’t just for Pancake Day, they can be enjoyed any time of the year.
Abra-ca-Debora says “To bring the magic of Dutch pancakes to the UK and show the Brits how meal time can be as stress free as it is in Holland when you have some Dutch pancakes in the fridge. They go with everything!”
“Whether it’s supper or pudding you’re after, pancakes are just the thing for a hungry tummy. Fill them with whatever you fancy and add a pinch of magic! I make pancakes that are so fresh they can only be found in the fridge of supermarkets.”
Abra-ca-Debora Original Dutch pancakes are savoury pancakes to be filled with delicious foods, ideal for a quick dinner or snack.
We enjoyed the savoury pancakes with a creamy Spinach and Cream Cheese filling, topped up with cheese sauce.
Spinach and Cream Cheese Pancakes with Cheese Sauce:
- 1 onion
- 1 bag of spinach
- 2 spoons of cream cheese
- 1 small tub of single cream
- 3 spoons of cheddar cheese
Brown the sliced onions in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the spinach until it is cooked, add the cream cheese and cook for a few minutes. Removed the mixture from the heat and reserve.
In another saucepan, add the single cream and bring it to the boil. Add the cheddar cheese and season to taste. Reserve.
Warm up the pancakes by placing each one on a non-stick pan and warm on a medium heat for 60 seconds on each side.
Add a couple of spoonfuls of the spinach and cream cheese mixture to each pancake, roll it and top it up with the cheese sauce. Enjoy it warm!
Abra-ca-Debora Sweet Dutch Pancakes are perfect for breakfast, snacks and desserts. You just need to open the fridge and use your favourite fillings.
If you prefer pancakes with a twist, you will love this recipe. It is really simple and easy to make, yet it is full of flavour.
You only need a few ingredients, however it tastes divine!
Pancakes with Peach and Mango Compote:
- 2 peaches
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons of raisins
- 1 tablespoon of mango chutney
Slice the peaches in small squares and heat up the peaches, cinnamon and raisins in a saucepan over medium heat. Add a few spoons of water so it doesn’t burn.
Once the peaches are soft and a thick sauce has been created, take off the heat and add the mango chutney and stir.
Best served warm, enjoy!
The peaches and mango compote is sweet, but not too sweet as there is no sugar in the recipe.
It goes down really well with Abra-ca-Debora Dutch Sweet Pancakes as it is a fruity filling with a spicy twist. You could also serve the pancakes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed Abra-ca-Debora Dutch Pancakes: sweet and savoury versions.
They were ready within a couple of minutes and taste great! And you could use your filling your choice, whether you are having sweet pancakes for breakfast, savoury pancakes for lunch or sweet pancakes for dessert.
