We are already a fan of Learning Resources, manufacturers of award-wining educational toys and learning aids for children. We have previously reviewed Answer Buzzers and Magic Moves Wand, little man loved them both.
We were sent another educational game by Learning Resources: Shelby’s Snack Shack (RRP £23.94), suitable for children aged 4 and over. It can be played by 2-4 players and it comes with a Shelby Squeezer (tweezers), Double spinner, four bowls and 40 bones.
Shelby’s Snack Shack is a fun game. Shelby needs help finding her buried bones! This unique counting game encourages players to spin the first spinner to determine play then spin the second spinner to see how many bones they collect using the Shelby Squeezers. The player with the most bones at the end of the game wins.
Not only it is entertaining and fun, Shelby’s Snack Shack is also educational, it helps to develop number, counting and fine motor skills. Little man is 4 and he had a lovely time playing, he understood the rules well and he enjoyed himself while learning.
Shelby’s Snack Shack is presented in a unique shaped box which also acts as the game board itself, originality is one of the key features of this dog themed game!
Complete with durable packaging and components, Shelby’s Snack Shack ensures this product will last; its whimsical illustrations are timeless and the Shelby Squeezers are sure to keep your little ones occupied.
We have played Shelby’s Snack Shack a few times, and every time we had a great time. I’ve noticed that age doesn’t matter when you are playing the game as it is down to luck when playing the spinner.
I won a few times and little man won too, either way, he had a laugh while brushing up on his fine motor skills, coordination and counting skills. Shelby’s Snack Shack is a lovely game, perfect for small children that are learning to count.
Learning Resources are giving away 1 of 5 Shelby’s Snack Shack games, you just need to enter HERE. Hurry as the competition ends on Tuesday 9th July! Good luck!
