Last weekend we finally went to see Peppa Pig’s brand new live stage show: Peppa Pig’s Big Splash. Since we found out about the new show, we were excited to go and see it. Little man loves going to the theatre and he is a big fan of Peppa and George Pig, so he was looking forward to watching the new show.
We went to one of the first shows of Peppa Pig’s Big Splash at Dartford. It is a brand new and biggest ever show on tour marking the brand’s tenth anniversary. The production will travel throughout the UK and Ireland and it is currently booking up until October 2014. Peppa Pig’s Big Splash is part of West End Christmas season for the fourth consecutive year, it will be live at the Criterion Theatre from 5th December to 5th January.
Nearly a year ago we went to Peppa Pig’s Treasure Hunt as part of West End Theatre Christmas Season and we all loved it, great production and very interactive. It was nice to see how little man would react to seeing his favourite characters live again.
Peppa Pig returns live on stage with puppets and brilliant sing-a-long songs from BAFTA award-winning composer Mani Svavarsson. Richard Lewis adapts and directs this brand new show, following his previous successes with the first two Peppa Pig stage shows and the the current Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom tour.
As soon as Peppa Pig’s Big Splash started, he said to me “mummy, Daisy is here again”, so little man could remember details of the show we saw Christmas when he was three and a half years old. He loved the whole show, he had a great time joining in singing and dancing. Hubby and I also enjoyed the show, it is as funny as the episodes on TV.
The nursery roof is leaking and Peppa and her friends need to fix it quickly. They set up a fete to raise the money for Mr Bull to do the repairs. There’s plenty of fun to be had as Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy Pig, as well as Danny Dog, Pedro Pony and Suzy Sheep put up bunting, run stalls and organise a great day out.
There’s also a Champion Puddle Jumping competition judged by Mr Potato where everyone gets wet and Peppa needs to find her Golden Boots. Another all-singing, all-dancing adventure full of songs, games and muddy puddles is guaranteed for all the family.
I asked little man what his favourite part of Peppa Pig’s Big Splash was, and he said he loved it all. It is very interactive and perfect for little ones, there was lots of jumping and dancing around, and the whole family had fun joining in the show and having fun with Peppa Pig, George and friends.
