Until a few months ago, I would associate Birds Eye with fish fingers, however their range is much more than just fish fingers. We have recently tried Birds Eye Veg Fusions, an exciting fusion of fresh vegetables with herbs and seasonings, and the whole family really enjoyed it.
Birds Eye Veg Fusions is part of Birds Eye adult dining range, which also includes Bake to Perfection and Rice Fusions. Since we really liked Veg Fusions, we decided to try other products from their adult dining portfolio.
We picked Birds Eye Bake to Perfection Wild Pink Salmon Fillets with a Sweet Chilli and Ginger Sauce. You can simply place the unique cook bag in the microwave or oven to create a deliciously saucy fish dish with a mouth-watering sauce.
We also tried Birds Eye Bake to Perfection King Prawns with a Sweet Chilli Sauce, it comes in a foil cook bag, so it should be cooked in the oven. It only takes 15 minutes to cook and the king prawns were so tender.
We tried Bird Eye Rice Fusions in two flavours, Fragrant Golden Vegetable Rice and Egg Fried Rice with Peas. Bird Eye Rice Fusions is an exciting fusion of fluffy long grain rice and fresh vegetables complimented with selected herbs and seasonings.
They are packed in a unique pyramid steamer which gently steam-cooks the rice and vegetables, allowing the flavours to gently infuse for a delicious fresh dish in minutes.
The wild pink salmon fillet was beautifully cooked in the sweet chilli and ginger sauce, it was served with the fragrant yellow rice with vegetables. The dish was so tasty!
The king prawns were tender and full of flavour in the sweet chilli sauce, it was enjoyed with egg fried rice with peas and oriental seasoning. The whole family enjoyed both meals and they were extremely easy and quick to make!
