Review: Kellogg’s Special K Cracker Crisps

Kellogg’s has launched a new product: Special K Cracker Crisps – a tasty new savoury snack that at 95 calories and three percent fat for a serving of 21 crisps, you can enjoy without the worry.

Special K Cracker Crisps are made from potato and wheat and come in three tasty flavours: sea salt and balsamic vinegar, sweet chilli and sour cream and chive.

They’re available in two ways: an individual bag to slip in your handbag or a box of crisps which are ideal for a night in.

Before opening my box of Sweet Chilli Cracker Crisp, I was quite worried about the portion size. Would I be satisfied with only 21 crisps? How big or small would the portion be?

If I started eating straight from the box, I knew I would lose count. Therefore I took exactly 21 crisps out of the box and stacked them up similar to the picture shown in the box.

I must admit I was impressed by the portion size, it is quite generous and less than 100 calories. You can’t go wrong with that!

I was also impressed with the taste. Although they are low calorie snacks, they don’t compromise on the taste!

Special K Cracker Crisps are delightfully thin crisps with a distinctive, satisfying crunch, it is a deliciously moreish savoury snack.

I loved the Special K Sweet Chilli flavoured potato & wheat snack, very tasty and delicious. Now I can’t wait to try the other flavours of the range. I have a feeling Sour Cream and Chive will be lovely too!

You can find Special K Cracker Crisps in the Crisps aisle in all major supermarkets and convenience stores from the end of September 2012, priced at £1.99 for a 100g box or 60p for individual bags.
