We were sent giant dominoes to review. We were hoping to try it in the garden, but the weather hasn’t been the best lately.
Instead, we had an enjoyable time playing in our living room. We put a green blanket on the floor to give the impression that we were out in the grass.
Giant Dominoes (RRP £31.99) is a wooden toy that can be played indoors or outdoors. It comes packed in a wooden carry box with rope handle, together with instructions and game rules.
The wooden storage box is really handy as you can store away the giant dominoes after each use and keep them safely until next time. Toys can sometimes get misplaced in our household, so it is quite nice to have a storage box for the dominoes.
When the weather is nice, we could take the giant dominoes to the garden and even to picnics in the summer.
Each giant domino measures 13.5cm x 7cm making this game much bigger than its original counterpart, but it is a good size for children.
This game is recommended for children aged 3 or more. Giant dominoes are perfect for small children as they can clearly see the dots and count them.
There are 28 wooden dominoes in total, they are made from pine and the dots are colourful and vibrant.
As each number has a different colour, it is ideal for children to recognize the number and match up the dominoes.
Giant Dominoes have high quality finish and it was a hit in our household.
I should add that it was the first time that little man played dominoes. Once I read out the instructions and explained the rules to him, he was playing like a pro!
He even beat me on one game – which I put down to luck, of course! I like to think I can play dominoes better than my three and half years old boy! 😛
Overall, we really enjoyed playing giant dominoes. Little man had a great time and so did the grown-ups.
It is a fun way of learning to count and practise numbers and counting. Giant Dominoes would make a lovely Christmas present!
