Palmolive Ayurituel Shower Gel Launch Party

Palmolive Ayurituel Launch Party

Last week I was invited to the launch of Palmolive Ayurituel Shower Gel and it was a fabulous event!

The exotic new Palmolive Ayurituel shower gel range was inspired by Ayurveda, an ancient Indian tradition. The indulgently scented shower gels create a harmonious body and mind experience that leaves you feeling balanced and energised.

Until that evening, I have never heard about Ayurveda, so I was pleased to find out that Ayurved encourages people to adopt healthy holistic lifestyle practices.

On arrival, we took a short quiz to discover which dosha we were. In order to introduce Palmolive Ayurituel, we explored the practice of Ayurved with an expert.

The Ayurvedic Philosophy:

Ayurveda Expert

The Indian practice of Ayurveda has been passed through the generations for more than 5,000 years and is followed by celebrities such as Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Oprah Winfrey to name but a few. It takes a holistic approach by directing us to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle through the combination of mind, body, senses and the soul.

Ayurveda encourages us to take responsibility for our own health according to the different stages of our lives, the seasons, and the environment we live, work and play in.

According to Ayurveda, the five elements of nature – space, air, fire, water and earth – combine in the body as three components, or doshas, known as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These three mind-body types express particular patterns of energy and unique blends of physical, emotional, and mental characteristics. Each of us will have a dominant dosha or mind-body type which each has a specific set of lifestyle and nutritional guidelines to help us achieve and maintain a good state of health.

Inspired by the wisdom of this philosophy, Palmolive is bringing the spirit of Ayurveda to your shower time, with three invigorating experiences:

  • Energy – stimulating Indian Sandalwood and Ginger extracts for an uplifting experience
  • Joyous – blissful Lotus Flower and Indian Mulberry extracts for an aromatic and heavenly shower
  • Tranquility – soothing Indian Neem and Patchouli extracts to calm the senses

Enriched with exotic extracts of Indian origin, the Palmolive Ayurituel range will leave your skin feeling rebalanced and energised while your senses will feel comforted with the unique Ayurvedic inspired body cleansing experience.

Ayurvedic chef Anjum Anand

Anjum Anand, renowned Ayurvedic chef, demonstrated her cooking prowess by creating some wonderful Ayurvedic dishes for us to try: Steamed Pea Cakes, South Indian Haddock and Corn Chowder and Momos (recipes to follow). We also had a go at making momos, which are steamed Nepalese Dumplings.

Once we tried the tasty Ayurvedic dishes, we had a heavenly Ayurvedic mini massage, I chose a relaxing head massage and it was wonderful!

Ayurvedic Food: Making Momos

We were given a goodie bag complete with a guide to Ayurveda and the indulgent range of Ayurituel shower gels. After the fantastic evening, when I got home, I couldn’t wait to try the new Palmolive range.

Before the event, I was already a fan of Palmolive and Milk & Almond Bath Milk was my favourite. Right now, I am not sure which Ayurituel shower gel I prefer as I like each one depending on my mood.

Lately I have been really busy revising for my exams so I have been using Tranquility in the evening to help me relax, however I also like Energy in the morning and Joyous as it has a gorgeous smell.

Overall, I had a wonderful time at the Palmolive Ayurituel Launch Party and now I have discovered a new range of shower gel that I really like. Thank you very much for inviting me to such a fun and informative evening!

Palmolive Ayurituel range is available at Sainsbury’s at RRP £2.99

I was invited to the event and given a goodie bag with samples of Palmolive Ayurituel Shower Gel. These products were provided free of charge for review purposes. However the opinions expressed in this review are honest and my own.
