Key SS13 Trends: Leather and Sequin

It is still quite cold outside, but the Summer/Spring’13 Collection has started to arrive at the shops, so it is a good time to start looking around and deciding what to wear during the next season.
Next Guest Blogger competition is based on the latest Spring/Summer’13 collections at Next and my chosen question is:
iii. With leather and sequins being key trends at the moment, how would you incorporate either or both into your daily wardrobe?
I’m lucky that we don’t have a dress code at work, I can wear casual clothes on a daily basis. Some days I dress up, other days I wear jeans. I create two outfit for my daily wardrobe using leather and sequin.
The first outfit is with skinny jeans and sequin sweater, teamed up with leather waterfall jacket, leather peep toe shoes and zebra print leather tote. It is a casual outfit, yet elegant. This outfit is quite comfortable, so perfect for the beginning of the week.
The second outfit is with a sequin dress and biker jacket, styled with leather snub toe court shoes and leather tote bag. It is a more glamorous outfit so perfect for a Friday, when there are usually drinks with the girls after work.
Apart from the jewellery, all items used in the outfits have either leather or sequin. It shows that leather and sequin are versatile and key items for Spring/Summer’13 trend. You can either dress them up or down, depending on the occasion.
