Brush Smart: Colgate ProClinical A1500 Electric Toothbrush
A few weeks ago, little man reviewed Colgate’s Kids Range Toothpaste. I was sent a very clever toothbrush to review: Colgate ProClinical A1500 which is the first electric toothbrush in the UK that automatically adjusts, delivering superior clean for both teeth and gums.
Colgate ProClinical A1500 is a smart, ergonomic, lightweight design toothbrush with advanced cleaning technology. The triple head brush head has multi-height bristles that cleans in all directions.
The brush cleans in three ways: spiral bristles help to remove surface stains, tampered outer bristles clean deep along the gum line, and inner bristles remove plaque from tooth surfaces.
The brush is able to automatically adjust as it has unique smart sensors, changing its speed and cleaning actions based on the position it is held in the month.
There is a slower side-to-side stroke for the teeth surface, mid speed in-out massaging stroke for the gum line and fast up-down stroke for molars.
I was delighted that the toothbrush was charged and ready to use straight from the box. I couldn’t wait to try it and check the different speeds for myself.
The box includes a handle, triple clean brush head, travel case, charger and refill post attachment.
My dentist constantly moans at me, apparently I put too much pressure on my gums while brushing my teeth.
I keep being reminded that it’s not about the pressure, so I was pleased to try the low side-to-side strokes while cleaning my front teeth.
Along with an auto and manual mode selection, and a clear LED display, the toothbrush features a two-minute timer.
The timer ensures that you clean your teeth for the length of time recommended by dental professionals for optimum oral health. It also has a 30-second pacer to indicate when to move to another quadrant in the mouth.
I have been trying my Colgate ProClinical A1500 for the past couple of weeks and I’m absolutely delighted. It is a very smart toothbrush indeed. It has an angled neck that cleans hard-to-reach areas, so I’m sure my dentist will be pleased on my next visit.
I really like the fact that the auto mode automatically adjusts speeds and cleaning actions, so I don’t need to think about how much pressure I’m putting on my toothbrush.
I’m pretty sure I will receive compliments from my dentist as I’m not putting as much pressure on my gums anymore, thanks to the three distinctive brushing modes available on the Colgate ProClinical A1500.
It is great for interdental areas as it cleans deep in-between teeth, for teeth as the brush provides superior cleaning and plaque removal while polishing teeth surfaces. It is also ideal for gums as it improves gum health.
I am aware it is not a cheap toothbrush, but it delivers more than you would expect. My teeth are squeaky clean now, even the ones at the back. I can feel that my gums are not as sore anymore as it brushes gently when holding the brush in teeth position.
Colgate ProClinical A1500 is a great investment. Once you buy the toothbrush, you would only need to replace the brush head every few months. You only need to buy any batteries as it can be charged plugged to the mains.
The toothbrush comes with a convenient travel case and a replaceable brush head. It fits two brush heads in the case, so you can take them away easily.
I’ve been talking about my new toothbrush so much, hubby now wants one too. Now that I already have the toothbrush, I just need to get a spare brush head for him. There is a handy place to keep it in the refill post attachment.
Overall, Colgate ProClinical A1500 is highly recommended for clean teeth, fresh breath and gorgeous smiles all around.
Colgate ProClinical A1500 retails at RRP £169.99 is available at Colgate website and most Boots stores. It comes with a two year limited warranty.
