Celebrate National Bagels Day Today with NY Bagels!
Today, Saturday 9th February is National Bagels Day, so it is a great excuse to indulge in mouth-watering bagels.
New York Bakery Co – the makers of the nation’s favourite authentic bagels – has created two new exciting bagel flavours: Fruit & Oat and Red Onion & Chive.
These flavours have been created with an authentic recipe so that the whole family can enjoy a taste of cosmopolitan New York at home.
New York Bakery Co make all of their bagels the authentic NY way by boiling them before they are stone-baked.
It gives the bagels a deliciously chewy crust and a soft, fluffy centre.
Whether you are looking for a tasty breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner – New York Bakery Co have it covered with the best bagels around.
Making its debut as the perfect breakfast bagel is the new Fruit & Oat flavour which is low in fat and a source of fibre.
There are 4 Fruit & Oat bagels in the pack, full of juicy cranberries, succulent raisins, sunflower seeds and topped with crunchy oats.
We have been enjoying Fruit & Oat bagels for breafast by halving them and lightly toasting, then spreading butter and jam.
They are nice and crunchy on the outside, but soft and sweet on the inside.
Fruit & Oat bagels go down nicely with a cup of tea and coffee, for a great start of the day!
Or, if you’re looking for a flavour to really tantalise your taste buds, look no further than the striking Red Onion & Chive bagel.
You can fill the Red Onion & Chive bagels with NY deli favourite: pastrami, crunchy gherkins, and hot mustard for a hearty lunchtime treat.
There are 4 Red Onion & Chive bagels in each pack.
We have been making different types of lunches with Red Onion & Chive bagels.
First we made a cold open bagel sandwich with halves of Red Onion & Chive bagels.
Each half bagel was topped up with ham, tomato, cucumber and a sprinkle of black pepper.
The open bagel sandwich made a lovely lunch prepared in only a few minutes.
The red onion and chive from the bagel complimented the sandwich, giving it a lovely taste!
Little man asked me to have pizza for lunch, so we made pizza bagels.
We started by halving the bagels and spreading BBQ sauce on them.
Then we topped up the bagels with ham, cheese, tomato and a sprinkle of crushed oregano.
We grilled the pizza bagels in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese melted and they were extremely delicious!
Little man loved it and he keeps saying that he wants to make pizza bagels again!
The pizza bagels were really easy to make and they are great alternative to pizzas.
Here are some more mouth-watering recipe suggestions to celebrate National Bagel Day using the whole NYBC bagel range.
