Exclusive Design Masterclass with Danielle Proud and Kenco
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending an exclusive blogger event: Design Masterclass with Interior design guru Danielle Proud and Kenco.
The event took place at the Proud Galleries in Camden – a fabulous venue designed by Danielle herself – and it was a unique opportunity to spend time with one the UK’s greatest interior design talents.
Danielle is one of Britain’s most ground breaking interior designers and regularly writes for The Guardian and Sunday Times Style, alongside running her own interior design business House Proud.
It was a very enjoyable evening, it was great to meet Danielle Proud and to chat to other bloggers.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jo from Single Slummy Mummy, Becky from Baby Budgeting, Amanda from The Ana Mum Diary, Jen from Love Chic Living and other lovely bloggers.
It was a relaxing atmosphere in a cool venue with plenty of Kenco coffee and a selection of tasty brownies.
Danielle is the eco interior design expert behind some of the most successful venues in London, including Proud Galleries, and a pioneer of the up-cycling trend reusing and making over household items.
For the first time she is working with Kenco to share some of her industry knowledge on how to make your home on trend for 2013.
At this one-off event I got the chance to talk to Danielle about her design inspiration and learn the tricks of the trade, as well as get creative and make a beautiful eco-friendly coaster to accompany my limited edition Danielle Proud ceramic coffee cup.
The colourful illustrations on the limited edition cup were inspired by the birds of the rainforest, so I felt at home!
I made a coaster to match my cup out of the wood from Danielle’s own garden.
Danielle showed us through the stages of making our coasters. We were instructed how to add our transfers onto the coasters, then we had to add a layer of varnish.
I was delighted with the result – my coaster looks lovely!
The partnership with Kenco has been created as Danielle launches her first foray into homeware, through the design of a eco coffee cup.
The Danielle Proud limited edition cup will be available on the Kenco Rewards Club, where Kenco drinkers can turn points from their packs of Kenco into fantastic rewards, each chosen with the environment in mind.
A massive thank you to GolinHarris for organizing the Design Masterclass with Danielle Proud and Kenco.
Thank you for the lovely evening and for my goodie bag with the limited edition eco-cup and Kenco coffee.
