Cook with Organix Paste Pots & Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe
Little man really likes Organix, we were sent an Organix Selection Box last year and he enjoyed it.
I was sent samples of Organix new cooking range called “Cook with Organix” as part of Cook with Organix Challenge to see what new and exciting recipes I could create at home with little man.
Little man loves helping out in the kitchen, so he was really excited when our Organix goodies arrived.
Organix new range includes Recipe Bases and Paste Pots, each created to give you a helping hand in the kitchen and make a variety of nutritious and healthy dishes for your little one.
We made a lovely Cheesy Tomatoey Spaghetti using Organix Recipe Base.
The Paste Pots act as a creative cooking aid for when you have a little more time and they allow you to create a meal from your own choice of ingredients in around 30 minutes.
Each pack has two different Paste Pots (each making 3-5 portions) and they are suitable from 7 months to 3 years+.
Paste Pots are available in Mild Green & Red Thai Curry, Mild Tikka & Korma and Tomatoey Red & Herby Green.
There is a lovely recipe for a Mild Chicken Tikka Masala, but I didn’t have all the ingredients, so we decided to make our own version of it.
We made this meal just before going food shopping, when the fridge had barely any food in it and we run out of most things. Ideally, I would have included onions, but there was none left in the fridge.
Chicken Tikka Masala with Potato and Carrot
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of Cooking Oil
- 1 chopped Chicken Breast
- 2 small Carrots
- 2 small Potatoes
- 1 tablespoon of Tomato Puree
- 1 Mild Tikka Masala Paste Pot
Method:
First we heated up one tablespoon of cooking oil in a medium pan, then added the diced potatoes and carrots on a medium heat. We had some cooked chicken breast in the fridge, which was sliced and added to the pan.
Once the vegetable softened, we added all of the Mild Tikka Masala Paste and fried it for a further couple of minutes.
We then added a tablespoon of tomato puree and cooked for around 5-10 minutes or until the vegetables had softened, stirring occasionally.
We added half a cup of water and it was ready to be enjoyed once the sauce tickened.
Our Chicken Tikka Masala was served with rice and little man really enjoyed it.
The Paste Pots are great to have in the cupboard for some inspiration and when you don’t have many ingredients for a meal. You can simply add a paste pot to create a lovely meal.
Our Chicken Tikka Masala was very delicious and tasty. Since we made a large portion, I also had it with little man. It was full of flavour and we both loved it.
Paste Pots retail at RRP £2.49. Each Paste Pot comes with recipe ideas and suggestions and there is also a wide variety of recipes available on the Organix website.
