Healthy Easter with New Nakd Trek Protein Flapjack!
By now you may have noticed I am a big fan of Nakd bars.
Ever since I went to the Allergy and Free From Show last year, I have been in love with Nakd products, from Caffe Mocha and Rhurbard Custard to Trek Protein Bars and Flavour Infused Raisins.
I have also reviewed Nakd Celebration Box and it is a mixed case of Nakd goodies full of healthy surprises. There is a selection of their tasty and most popular snacks.
In my Easter pack, I was sent some of my favourite Nakd bars: Cocoa delight, Caffe Mocha, Cocoa Mint, Cocoa Orange.
Nakd bars are healthy snacks, made with 100% natural ingredients. They are nourishing, cold-pressed, never baked and with no added sugar or syrups.
There were two products that I have never tried before: Cocoa Oat Trek Flapjack and Nakd Cocoa Crunch bar.
Nakd has just launched a new range: Trek Protein Flapjacks and two are chocolate coated. I love flapjacks, I make them all the time with little man.
I consider flapjacks better than cakes, but the butter and sugar make them not so healthy. I was looking forward to trying Trek Protein Flapjacks.
They are flapjacks with more bite. The new and improved range of traditional British flapjacks are now made with gluten-free oats and packed with 9-10g of added protein for long lasting energy and fullness.
You can enjoy them for breakfast, in between meals or when climbing a mountain! Why not try the new fruity Morning Berry or sophisticated chocolate topped varieties such as Cocoa Oat.
How about some Oat Raisin or Banana Bread? Each of the flapjacks features a different British countryside scene.
I was sent Cocoa Oat Trek Flapjack (RRP £14.99, on sale for £11.99 for 16 bars)
The Cocoa Oat flapjacks take the original oat and cover the top layer with delicious dark chocolate, transforming the humble oatiness into a deep and satisfying taste.
Perfect for lunchboxes, office snacks, breakfasts or sporty-types, the Cocoa Oat packs a mean 9g of protein to keep you fuller for longer.
The bitter-sweetness of the dark chocolate perfectly compliments the wholesome flavour of the oats to create something truly special with a taste that stays with you long after the last crumb has disappeared.
I must say Cocoa Oat is so tasty! And I can’t believe how much healthier it is than standard flapjacks.
It is delicious and filling, I had my Cocoa Oat with a cup of coffee.
The Cocoa Crunch bar is a raw fruit, crunchies and nut bar.
It is made of dates, soya crunchies, cashews, raisins, cocoa and apple juice. Cocoa Crunch has no added sugar and 18% of the bar is protein.
Cocoa Crunch was just as it says on the label – chocolatey and crunchy. It is delicious and it makes a healthy snack.
Overall, Cocoa Oat Trek Flapjack and Cocoa Crunch Bar are delicious and full of flavour.
Easter is the time of the year that we all end up having far too much chocolate, so cocoa flavoured Nakd bars are a healthy alternative to the usual chocolate overload.
You can still enjoy a chocolate flavoured snack without all the calories and sugar.
Happy Easter!
