Dressing Your Kids at Next #cbias
Little man had his 4th birthday party over the weekend, it was lovely having his little friends and cousins around. He is growing quite fast, so we needed to buy him bigger clothes and replace his 3-4 with 4-5 size.
I usually wait to go clothes shopping after his birthday so I can buy according to what he is given at the party. This year he got mainly toys, but in previous years he was given lots of clothes, so I didn’t need to buy much afterwards.
On Sunday, we went to our local Next store within walking distance to our house. The window display at the shops showcases some of the new Spring Summer Collection for children. As little man is 4, he can shop from two different kids range: Up to 5 Years and 3-12 Years.

We basically need to get a new 4-5 wardrobe, so while we were at Next I was after essential clothes, plenty of tops and a pair of jeans. We usually buy little man’s clothes at Next and go for their multi-buy items for daily use and shirts for special occasions.
Instead of following fashion, I prefer to stick to practicality, to make sure that little man is comfortable in whatever he is wearing. I like him to play and be a child while wearing nice clothes.
I was particularly interested on multi-buy items since they are better value for money. There was a selection of tops and polo shirt in the “Younger Boys Multi-buy” offer, 1 top for £6, 2 for £10 and 3 for £15, including this gorgeous poloshirt.
There were also Bright T-shirts Four Pack available on multi-buy on the following colours: green, yellow, blue and pink. Little man quite liked the colourful tops, they are nice and bright, perfect to daily use. The tops are very reasonable at £11 for 4 different tops, so you can’t go wrong with it.
I also spotted a nice pair of Dark Value Jeans for only £8.50. Jeans go with everything, so we picked up a pair too. He will be able to wear the pair of jeans with all the 7 tops he picked during our shopping at Next.
As a mum, it is important that my child is comfortable above anything. I believe polo shirts suit little man, so he would wear them over the weekend and standard t-shirt during the week. I would make sure he is suited and booted on special occasions, so he would look quite trendy once in a while.
I quite liked the fact that the t-shirts were bright and soft. Little man had a lovely time playing in the garden on them. He was jumping, running and rolling on the grass – yes, that’s exactly what he was doing!
