Celebrate with Cakes and Cupcakes by Asda!
Asda has launched a great selection of products in their Spring/Summer collection, I have recently shared our Perfect Summer BBQ by Asda, we enjoyed a gorgeous BBQ from their Butcher’s Selection range and Extra Special Ales.
We were sent a gorgeous cake and some lovely cupcakes for little man’s birthday party.
The Rainbow Cake (RRP £15.00) has no artificial colours, flavours or hydrogenated fat. It is a scrumptiously striped rainbow of yummy sponge and luscious buttercream. It is part of the “Chosen by You” range, which has been tried and tested by customers.
The Rainbow Cake was a success with little man’s friends and with the parents too. I kept being asked during the party if I baked it myself. To be quite honest, I was surprised they thought I could make such a beautiful cake and I was tempted to say it was my own creation, but I ended up telling everyone that I got it from Asda.
One of the parents was surprised and mentioned that the cake was as soft as those from bakery and they didn’t think it was from a supermarket. I can say that we all loved the Rainbow Cake, not only it looks bright and colourful, it is also very tasty.
We also had a selection of cupcakes (RRP £1.50 for 2):
Gingerbread Cupcake is so cute. It is part of the “Chosen by You” range, it is a moist ginger sponge topped with whipped cream flavour frosting and a mini gingerbread sugar decoration.
Coca Cola Cupcake is part of the “Sweet Shop” range, it is a delicious sponge cake with a miniature coca cola sweet on top of the whipped cream frosting.
Triple Choc Cupcake is also part of the “Sweet Shop” range, it is a tasty chocolate sponge with chocolate flavour frosting and chocolate pieces on top. It’s chocolate heaven!
Little man’s birthday party treats were a success! I can say that everyone loved the Rainbow Cake, not only it looks bright and colourful, it is also very tasty. The cupcakes were cute and delicious, they were going like hotcakes.
