How Have I Changed in 30 Years?
I should start this post by saying I’m not 30 yet, I know I still look 18, but I am actually 28, hard to believe I know…!
For the first time since 1983, Kellogg’s is changing Special K with a new, more delicious and wholesome recipe. The new recipe contains three grains, rice, wheat and barley, and previously there were two. Special K is made with wholegrain, for a source of fibre as well as 8 vitamins and minerals. It gives health-conscious, weight-watching women a tastier breakfast.
I was sent a box of the new Special K to try and it is just as tasty and crunchy as before. It is still a great cereal and full of flavour. The box finished really quickly as hubby and little man also enjoyed it, I’m pleased Kellogg’s has introduced another grain to their recipe, making it healthier while keeping the same great taste. We enjoy a bowl Special K with milk for breakfast and a handful dry as a snack.
So now that we know how much Special K has changed and improved in 30 years, how about me?
Since I wasn’t even born then, I asked my mum to dig our family album from Brazil and forward her photos to me. It brought back so many lovely memories from the time I would just look at my baby pictures while still living in Brazil.
My mum got pregnant in 1983 and gave birth to me in the following year. So in 1983, I was nice and comfortable in my mummy’s tummy, I had no idea what the big wide world would bring me. I couldn’t wait to meet my mummy, daddy and my big brother.
Nearly 30 years later, I was pregnant just like my mummy, I couldn’t wait to be a mum and meet my first child. It felt so special carrying a baby and I started loving my little one from the moment I found out I was pregnant.
Before my mummy was looking after me, I was a newborn baby, so little and innocent. While she was in the hospital breastfeeding after giving birth to me, I bet she never thought I would be living so far away one day.
Now, here I am with my own little baby, our bundle of joy, we have been looking forward to meeting our son throughout my pregnancy and he finally arrived. He’s so precious and perfect! I am convinced that giving birth is a priceless experience, the gift of life is just amazing, truly precious miracle!
In 30 years, I have changed from being in my mum’s dreams to be holding my own little dream! Thank you mum for being an amazing mum, my inspiration, I wish I am a great mum to my son just like you are to me. Since it is Mother’s Day, I would like to wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day! I can’t wait to visit you in Brazil and give you lots of cuddles and kisses, love you!
I was provided a box of Special K in return for this post and a review of the cereal, however the opinions expressed in this review are honest and my own.
