National Walking Month – Get Walking!
We love walking and going to parks, nothing like a nice walk in the sunshine for a spot of fresh air. This month is National Walking Month, it is a great opportunity to get the whole family fit and take in the great British Countryside too.
There are several health benefits of walking, it is a gentle exercise, it is free and simple. Walking is a perfect activity to get more active and become healthier, you just need a pair of comfortable shoes to get walking!

Our favourite walk is to our local park where little man gets the chance to spend some energy in the playground and also roll down the hill. He always has a lot of fun during our walks, it’s a great exercise and a way to keep moving.
Instead of staying at home over the weekends, we just pack a few snacks and a bottle of drink and go to the park for a few hours. Last weekend, on bank holiday Monday, we walked to the park, had a nice picnic and played. We are planning on doing the same during the next bank holiday.
