Frankie & Benny’s Specials Menu
We love Frankie and Benny’s, last summer we reviewed Frankie & Benny’s New Food Menu, then at Christmas we reviewed Frankie & Benny’s New Cocktail Menu. This time, we visited Frankie & Benny’s to review their new Specials Menu.
Frankie & Benny’s has just launched a brand new Specials Menu, valid from Sunday to Friday, in which you can have 2 courses for £10.95, either starters and main course, or main course and dessert. If you prefer, you could have a 3 course meal for an additional £2.25.
Hubby wanted to have a starter and I wanted to have a dessert, so we decided to go for a 3 course meal. To start, hubby had BBQ Chilli Wings, large succulent chicken wings, smothered in tangy BBQ sauce, sprinkled with chilli flakes. The BBQ Chilli Wings were served with celery and cooling dip. Hubby really liked his chicken wings!
I wanted to try something different, so I picked BBQ Pulled Pork Potato Skins, fully loaded with BBQ pulled pork and red onion, topped with cheddar and served with sour cream. The pulled pork was tasty!
For mains, hubby chose Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, tender strips of 28 day aged steak sautéed with red pepper, red onion and sliced mushrooms. The sandwich arrived piled high in a toasted ciabatta bun with lettuce and mayonnaise, topped with philly cheese sauce. The dish was served with house fries and coleslaw on the side. Hubby was impressed how big his sandwich was!
I picked Chicken & Bacon Ranch Salad which had seasoned chicken breast, mixed leaves, pancetta bacon and fresh tomato tossed in a cooling ranch dressing. I don’t usually order salads, but I wanted to try it and I wasn’t disappointed. The salad arrived with a generous portion of chicken and pancetta, it was delicious!
For desserts, hubby ordered Apple & Raspberry Crumble topped pie served warm with real dairy vanilla ice cream, you could also have with custard instead. Hubby enjoyed the flavour and texture of his apple and raspberry crumble.
I picked Banoffe Brownie for desserts, warm chocolate brownies with slices of fresh banana. It was served with the real dairy toffee ice cream, topped with salt caramel sauce, toffee crumb and lashings of cream. I loved my banoffe brownie, I’m a big fan of toffee and banana, so I was in heaven!
Little man had his usual kids menu, which includes a main course, dessert and refillable soft drink for only £3.95. You can also choose a Junior’s menu for £7.55 for younger diners with larger appetite. Kid’s Meal also comes with an optional side of vegetables, side salad or baked beans and a fun activity pack with games and puzzles.
Little man picked his own meal, he had Fish Fingers served with fries and a tomato and cucumber garnish. He had a side of vegetables on the side with his meal. For dessert, he had Brownie Sunday from the Kid’s Menu, warm brownie pieces and vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce and served with a wafer.
After trying Frankie & Benny’s cocktails in our last visit, I had to order some again. I enjoyed a Pinacolada and it was perfect! Pina Colada is made with Bacardi rum blended with coconut cream and pineapple juice, it is one of my favourite cocktails!
Overall, we enjoyed our meal from the new Specials Menu, and we had a lovely time as a family at Frankie & Benny’s. It was our first time at the O2 branch and we really liked the experience as a whole, the atmosphere and service were very good. The staff was friendly and our food arrived promptly.
