Glossybox June 2013: Summer Looks
A few weeks ago, I went to Covent Garden to celebrate Glossybox’s Birthday and I was given my very first Glossybox. It was very exciting opening and finding out what was inside, I love the surprise and the contents of the box.
I just love how the whole Glossybox system works: basically you only need to choose your plan (rolling monthly subscription or term subscription), then you receive and unwrap your 5 surprise deluxe miniatures carefully selected by a team of beauty experts.
I was sent Glossybox June 2013, which celebrates summer looks and helps the transition into summer with the help of some of the season’s most coveted brands, including Figs & Rouge, Nuxe, Monu, Helen E Cosmetics and Mememe Cosmetics.
Those were the contents of my Glossybox:
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR (£34.00 for 100ml) is a multipurpose dry oil with shimmering golden particles and 6 precious plant oils and Vitamin E. It is easily absorbed and suitable for face, body and hair, perfect for subtle golden shimmer. I loved the healthy glow and golden shimmer after applying Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse.
Figs & Rouge Cherry Blossom Lip Balm (£5 for 12.5ml) is a 100% natural and 100% pure lip balm, packed with antioxidants, it is nourishing and soothing. It is multi-tasking as it can be used not only on lips, but also on elbows, cuticles and knees. It smells gorgeous and I really liked how soft the balm made my lips feel. I should add that the packaging is so cute and girlie!
Helen E Cosmetics Shimmer Eye Powder (RRP £5 for 1.5g) is a summer staple, highly pigmented loose powder which can be used dry for subtle looks or wet for extra depth of colour and a slicker, edgier look. I was sent shade number 26, which is mixture of dark blue and grey.
Monu Hydrating Moisturiser SPF 15 (RRP £29.95 for 50ml) has been formulated to prevent sun damage and premature aging due to Zinc Oxide, which provides a physical barrier against the sun’s harmful rays. It contains soft focus technology to blur imperfections and correct skin tone. It also contains Blackcurrant Seed Oils to boost moisture levels and Vitamin E to fight free radicals.
Mememe Cosmetics Long Lasting Nail Gloss (RRP £5 for 12ml) is a quick dry, high gloss nail polish that protects and conditions. It has maxi-brush technology which provides an easy application. I was sent shade 67, Graceful, nude pink, and I love the gorgeous glossy finish.
My Glossybox June box arrived just in time for summer, Monu Hydrating Moisturiser SPF 15 comes in a handy handbag size and it is just what I need in this sunshine. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse gives my body a healthy sunkissed look, Figs & Rouge Cherry Blossom Lip Balm makes my lips soft and Mememe Cosmetics Long Lasting Nail Gloss completes my summer look with beautiful nails.
