How to Juggle Work and Life

I must say I enjoy being busy and having lots of things to do at the same time. I enjoy multitasking and I find that the time goes by quickly when you have different activities to do. As much as I like working, I love spending time with my family and juggling both. I follow a few simple tips to make sure I can juggle work and life:

Be Organised: I really like writing down what needs to be done, I don’t have anywhere fancy to write it down, just a good old notebook and a pen to keep my to-do list nice and tidy. Once it’s all written down, I can relax knowing that it will all eventually get done – usually in the order it is on paper, from top to bottom. I like to-do list at work and at home too.

To-DO-List Clear Boundaries: When I am home, it is my family time, when I have quality time with my little boy and hubby. When I am at work, I am totally focused on my work duties and responsibilities. I find it extremely important to have a clear boundary so you can enjoy family time and working time without any distractions.

Know Your Limits: Sometimes I bite more than I can chew, but I have learnt to know my limits and how much I can actually fit in one single day. At the end of the day, I will still need to eat, sleep and shower, so I need to leave enough time for the basics. There is no point trying to squeeze so much in one day if they are not going to get done properly.

Save Time: There is nothing wrong with cooking a big dinner one night, so you can heat up some the following night using the microwave. You will still enjoy a homemade meal with all the nutrients and goodness from home cooked food. Cooking extra portions and storing in the fridge or freezer can save loads of time.
