Kixi Razor Balance Bike
Little man was delighted when his new Kixi Razor Balance Bike arrived. Although he is 4 years old, he is still not able to ride a bike and use the pedals properly, so a balance bike is perfect to build his confidence and balnce.
Kixi Razor Balance Bike helps youngsters learn balance and steering without the hassle of training wheels. Lightweight and easy to control, it’s the perfect pint-sized ride to help little one learn the basics of cycling.
The Kixi Balance bike is designed to help a child learn how to balance and it’s the perfect lead into getting kids onto two wheels. By removing the dependence on stabilisers and training wheels, which do now allow for any lateral movement, your child can develop the sensory skills needed to balance on two wheels.
Balance bike also removes the need for dirty chains and cogs meaning your child is free to learn with greater safety and less mess. The Kixi Balance bike, with its rugged design and chunky wheels, has the right design to deal with the knocks and drops that it will face as your child learns to balance. That combined with its unique mono frame design, making it an light weight, and the footrest, creating a truer riding experience as confidence develops, makes it the perfect first bike!
The balance bike arrived in 4 pieces with the right tool to put it together. At first, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to set it up on my own, but it was easy and straight forward by following the instructions provided.
I read the guide “How to Ride the Kixi Balance Bike” and we were ready to try it. It is recommended to start young riders on open grassy areas while getting used to the balance bike and gaining confidence.
At first, little man started riding the balance bike by walking the bike while standing over the seat to get comfortable with the handlebars. He instantly noticed that there were no hand breaks and no pedals.
After a few minutes, he was comfortable enough to sit in the seat while walking the bike along. He then tried to scoot while riding the bike by lifting one foot off the ground and resting it on the foot rest.
Little man is having a great time with his Kixi Razor Balance Bike, the next step is to lift both feet off the ground and cruise while balancing on the two wheels. Over the next few times he rides his balance bike, I will encourage little man to use the foot rest and bring both feet completely off the ground while coasting.
