Haba My Very First Game – Counting Fun
Little man was sent a Counting Fun game from Haba “My Very First Games” series. It is a bouncy counting game for 2 to 4 players, suitable from 2 years old.
Haba games stand out both because they are a lot of fun and also because they really help children to develop. The special feature is the easy-to-handle play materials, made from wood and card, which are also perfect for free play. The second special feature is the simple, easily understood rules and the descriptions of the games, which take children into the world of role play.
Watch the fun add up with My Very First Games – Counting Fun from HABA. It comes with a game board consisting of 6 puzzle pieces, 1 farmer Tim, 12 cloverleaves, 12 animal kid tiles, 1 die and a set of game instructions.
Farmer Tim wants to check that everything is in order on the meadow and feed clover leaves to the animal kids, but the rascals are playing tag and happily frolic about! Farmer Tim soon loses track. The aim of the game is to help Tim count and feed the animal kids.
The fun started by putting together the puzzle pieces to build the game board, then spreading the twelve animal tiles with either side face up in the centre of the game board. Tim was placed on any square showing a cloverleaf and counting fun started.
Each player receives three cloverleaves and keeps them in front of them, and a different action is taken according to what the die shows: cloverleaf means that an animal kid can be immediately be fed by using a cloverleaf to tap any animal kid lying on the game board.
If the die shows an animal kid, all the animal kids of the same kind lying face up on the board must be counted, and farmer Tim should move as many squares as the number of animals counted. If farmer Tim lands on a square with a cloverleaf, an animal can be fed, but nothing happens if he lands on an empty square.
Little man had a lot of fun counting the animal kids, walking farmer Tim around the game board and feeding the animal kids. Counting Fun is now one of little man’s favourite board games!
