If I was at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe… #48HrFringe

If I was at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest arts festival, and I had the choice of taking one friend with me, I would take hubby. We rarely have some child-free time on our own, so I would choose him to spend 48 hours at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe weekend.

My dream experience would start with a glass or two of champagne to celebrate our time together, the years we have spent so far and our lovely son… (oh and the child-free weekend!)

We would then have a romantic candelight dinner in one of the Michelin star restaurant in Edinburgh. I always dreamed of being a princess, so I would pick the Castle Terrace, set in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle and led by Dominic Jack, to share a meal with hubby. We would enjoy our elegant dinner prepared with a flair and passion, while enjoying the warm French influence in both the interiors and the dishes.

Nothing like a good old laugh, so we would pick a comedy showathon so hubby and I could get lost in laughter and have the time of our lives. There are plenty of great options at Edinburgh Festival Fringe: Perhaps Peacock & Gamble Heart-throbs to start with, followed by My Name is Christian Grey. I would love to hear the real life inspiration and true story behind 50 Shades of Grey.

In between shows, we would go to another Michelin star restaurant for desserts and cocktails, yes, we are going to have another dessert. Why? Because it is the Fringe and almost everything goes, so we can go as wild as we wish!

After a long day at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, we would relax at the Premier Inn in Edinburgh, Princes Street. It has a fantastic location towards the west end of Edinburgh’s world famous Princes Street which enjoys fabulous views on the very picturesque and historic Edinburgh Castle. I would close my eyes and carry on my magical day dreaming I was a princess!
