Keeping Damp and Mould at Bay with Meaco Dehumidifier

Unfortunately our house is quiet damp and we often get mould patches on the wall, especially one of the walls in little man’s bedroom and the bathroom ceiling. We have tried using anti-mould paint and treating the walls, but the mould keeps coming back every winter.

Meaco 10L Dehumidifier is a compact and light compressor dehumidifier suitable for 2 to 3 bedroom houses and small offices. It has a very handy humidistat to control the rate of extraction and clear electronic controls which are easy to use and straightforward. The dehumidifier comes with a hose, so it is possible to have continuous drainage.

Now in the summer, the clothes dry in the washing line outside and it only takes a few hours, however in the winter it usually takes a couple of days to dry them inside. Luckily Meaco Dehumidifier can be used to dry clothes when it is raining outside, as it extracts the water from the air while blowing air to the clothes.

Meaco Dehumidifier is ideal for keeping condensation off windows and protecting from damp and mould as it extracts the humidity from the air. The maximum extraction rate is 10 litres per day at 30C, usually 4-6 litres a day at normal domestic temperature. I put the Meaco 10L Dehumidifier to the test and it extracted over a pint of water from little man’s bedroom in a couple of hours. The tank at the back has a capacity of 2 litres and, as you can see by the shadows in the picture, it was over a third full.

We have been trying Meaco 10L Dehumidifier at our house and we are very impressed so far, not only it is quiet and economical, it is also very efficient. I never thought there was so much water in the air, we are quite surprised by how much water it has removed from our house so far. I am looking forward to drying our clothes quicker in the winter with the help of our dehumidifier.
