APPen Electronic Learning Aid
A few weeks ago, I was part of the panel of the Mum’s Choice Awards at Christmas in July showcasing the hottest toys for Christmas, and I was pleased to see APPen by Flair as one of the winners in the gadget category.
APPen (RRP £14.99), aimed at children aged 3-7 years, is the first product in a brand new line of kids electronic toys and accessories from GPTech. It allows children to enjoy learning, writing and colouring on a tablet. Little man has just started school and he’s learning to write at the moment, so it was the perfect timing to try APPen.
APPen is a versatile toy, it holds a world of exciting learning possibilities, little man enjoys playing, colouring and learning with it. It is compatible with the majority of android and iOS tablets and it is very simple to use, you just need to plug it in via the headphone socket of any compatible table for immediate use with the dedicated free app.
APPen is designed for children’s hand, it has a pressure-sensitive silicone nib which works as a colouring pen, joystick and a learning aid when used with the dedicated free app. The unique pressure sensitive nib increases or decreases the thickness of the line when used to colour or write, which aids fine motor control essential when using pen and paper.
APPen is an electronic learning aid, designed to colour, play and learn. The pen has a speaker for positive reinforcement for children. You can also track child’s learning progress and even upload it to social media to share with friends and family.
Little man loves painting pictures and colouring in with his APPen, but what he enjoys the most is learning how to write letters by connecting the dots. I love the fact that Appen doesn’t require batteries and it has a wide variety of activities, providing hours of fun and also educational. Overall, we really like APPen, it comes with an extra nib and pen lid in the box.
The product was provided free of charge for review purposes. However the opinions expressed in this review are honest and my own.
