Feeling Stressed? Rescue Remedy by Nelsons Could Help!
The school holidays are coming to an end, kids are going back to school and our hectic life returns to normal. I must admit somehow I always forget there are only 24 hours in the day and I take on more than I can handle, so I end up getting stressed and anxious.
Rescue Remedy has been trusted by generations to help gently restore inner calm, control and focus. It is the most well known element of the Bach Original Flower Remedies which is a system of 38 individual flower remedies developed by Dr Bach.
Rescue Liquid Melts (RRP £8.45 for 28 capsules) are fast-dissolving capsule which quickly releases four drops of Rescue when you want to keep on top of your busy day. They contain natural flower essences and have been specifically designed to melt on your tongue, so they are easy and convenient to take a moment out of your day to regain clarity.
The liquid melts are quite nice, they provide a burst of flavour, and they are suitable for the whole family and gentle enough to be taken anytime, anywhere. I usually have it mid-afternoon, when I realise how much I still need to do before the end of the day, instead of panicking, I take a pause for a moment of clarity with Rescue Liquid Melts.
Rescue Cream (RRP £8.05 for 50g) contains a combination of five Bach Original flower essences, Cherry Plum, Impatiens, Star of Bethlehem, Rock Rose, Clematis, plus the cleansing essence, Crab Apple and can be applied directly to the face or body. It is a non-greasy intensive moisturiser designed to hydrate dry, rough, flaky or sensitive skin quickly, so great for skin emergencies.
Rescue cream has a light formula, I like the fact it is easily absorbed, leaving my skin soft. Although it is perfume free, paraben free and lanolin free, it has a light fragrance, which I believe comes from the flower essences.
Rescue Balm (RRP £6.05) contains the same six flower essences as Rescue Cream. It is an intensive moisturising lip balm designed to soothe dry, cracked lips. It has been dermatologically tested and it provides 24h care.
My lips get quite dry throughout the day, so I keep my Rescue Balm in my handbag when I need it. It provides essential protection from external stress factors and moisturises lips with flower essences. I was surprised to find out that Rescue Balm can also be applied to the temples to soothe and relax.
Bach Essences Emotional Eating Kit (RRP £11.49) is a set of three flower essences and is the first product available in the UK to help with emotional eating. It is a set of three carefully selected flower essences from the system of 38 to give a helping hand with diet and healthy living regimes.
Each remedy is carefully sealed in an individual bottle and addresses a specific emotion which you may experience along with your new eating or healthy living regime. The kit contains Chestnut Bud, Crab Apple and Cherry Plum, my favourite flower essence is Cherry Plum, they can be applied directly to the tongue or mixed with water. I must admit I tend to reach for the biscuit tin when I’m stressed, but instead I’ve been having drops of Cherry Plum to help me to take control of my cravings and relax.
