Walkers Crisps Gary’s Great Ingredient Hunt #FindGary
We are already fans of Walkers crisps, we really like Walkers Hoops and Crosses and Walkers Mighty Lights. I thought I would keep you updated with the latests news from Walkers.
If you were online at lunch time today and checked Twitter, you couldn’t have missed the #FindGary hashtag trending. Walkers Crisps had a very exciting activity with Gary Lineker to launch their new campaign, Gary’s Great Ingredient Hunt, between 12.30pm and 2pm.
Walkers Crisps asked the nation to ‘find Gary’ in a Twitter treasure hunt following the #FindGary hashtag. With a little help from Gary’s celebrity friends, the nation had the chance to use clues and hints to find Gary online and bag a reward of £1,000. I was munching on a pack of Ready Salted Walkers Crisps while I was following the hashtag around and trying to guess where Gary was.
I took part in the #FindGary treasure hunt and it was very exciting following the clues around. Thanks to the last clue from Denise van Outen saying that she went there recently with Betsy to see animals, I guessed correctly that Gary was at Surrey Docks Farm!
The activity is to support Walkers’ new campaign and biggest ever giveaway, in which people can join the online hunt for Walkers’ delicious home grown ingredients at www.walkers.co.uk and uncover millions of amazing rewards with every promotional pack from Monday 16 September until 21st December 2013.
Walkers Crisps campaign has only just started but it seems great already as every pack is a winner. Once you have a code from a promotional pack, you should go to Walkers website and play a game. If you match 3 ingredients, you can win £10,000, if you match 2 ingredients you can win cash rewards, memberships and vouchers, and even if you don’t match any ingredients, you can still win cash rewards, Walkers crisps and rewards from partners.
I played the game today, I didn’t match any ingredients, but still won 30% at Red Letter Days. Now off I go to the supermarket to stock up on my Walkers crisps.
