Family Fun: Exploring Nature

We love having fun together as a family, we are busy during the week with work and school, but when the weekend arrives, we make the most of our time together.

Our favourite family activity is exploring nature as it is a great way to have fun together and it is very exciting too, you never know what you are going to find, whether it will be ants, spiders or bugs.

I love the fact I can use my background as a Biologist to teach little man a bit more about bugs and nature. We make learning fun and enjoyable through play, we take a bug guide with us so we can identify bugs and practice spelling and phonics at the same time. We also count how many animals and leaves we can spot along the way.

Not only going to our local park is great fun, it is priceless. We don’t need to spend thousands to have fun as a family, we simply need ourselves, walking shoes and magnifying glass. Exploring nature is so enjoyable and we try and do it whenever the sun is shining!

The whole family has a lot of fun, our little explorer finds it very exciting, while grown-ups loves spotting animals and bugs too. We are looking forward to our next adventure!

This is our entry to become a member of Center Parcs 2013/14 Family Blogger Club. Although we have never had the opportunity to visit Center Parcs before, we would love to stay at Elveden Forest in Suffolk, as we love the sound of ‘delightful rural setting with alfresco lifestyle of the Mediterranean’.
