Have a Spooktastic Halloween with Poundland!
Halloween will be here in just over a week, we are really looking forward to it, we already started getting ready so we are all excited and counting the days to our spooktastic Halloween.
We were invited to take part in the Poundland Blogger Challenge to do Halloween on a £25 budget to spend on all our Halloween essentials such as decorations, costumes, food, party and sweets. We love a challenge, so we headed to our local store to see what we could find.
I enjoy looking after my pennies and saving money, so I visit our local Poundland store often to stock up on essentials without breaking the bank. Ever since, I took part in the Poundland Weekly Essentials Challenge, I realised how much I could save by going to Poundland.
When I went to our local Poundland, I was spoilt by choice as they have everything you need for Halloween, from fancy dress to trick or treat sweets and decorations.
Our Halloween shopping spree started at the fancy dress section, where I immediately found a wicked witch’s hat with spider’s web lacey trim, I had to put it on and ended up doing my shopping wearing it. I also found a spooky pair of purple girl’s tights with black witch print to go with it. There is a wide selection of fancy dress on offer, including a devil’s kit with horn band, trident and tail, and also devil’s wings.
If you are after scary make-up for Halloween, you will love the make-up kit including cream make-up and fake blood. There are also horror masks and pumpkin outfits. Since it’s getting colder, I picked up a hat and a pair of fingerless gloves for little man, so he will be nice and warm while trick or treating.
While I was browsing the decorations section, I picked up a spooky eye basket for trick or treat, pumpkin pail with sweets, bubbles and hanging mummy and skeleton. Last year, I share our Halloween Cupcakes Icing Ideas, I will be baking again this year, so I couldn’t resist getting a silicone cake mould and also an ice mould tray perfect for spooky drinks.
I have also noticed a selection of Halloween decorations at Poundland, including pumpkin lights, witch’s hat tealight holder and balloons, also scary tableware with plates, bowls, tablecloth and napkins, perfect for any Halloween party.
Halloween is not Halloween without treats and snacks, and I found an amazing range of trick or treat sweets including glow sticks pumpkin pops, Swizzles Matlow fright mix, Haribo trick or treat mini mix, spooky chocolate, eye balls lollies and eye balls sweets. I also stocked up on crisps and sweet popcorn as snacks for our Halloween party.
Overall, I am very impressed with how much I managed to buy at Poundland for Halloween. We are now fully stocked up on everything we need, I just need to bake some spooky cupcakes and decorate the house.
