Ideal Weight Event #backtometime
As you are aware, hubby is currently working hard to lose weight, by being careful with what he eats and exercising. He has lost 2 stones so far and I am very proud of his achievement, but he still wants to lose one more stone and needs to find a way of keeping it off once he reaches his goal.
A few weeks ago, I was invited to an event with Ideal Weight, a weight management company, to meet with the team and discover how they differ from traditional weight loss programmes. It included the opportunity to experience a thought provoking weight management coaching session with Ideal Weight’s Operation Director and leading weight management coach, Lindsey Thompson-Wright.
Although I’ve been to Ideal Weight’s website, I wanted to find out how Ideal Weight is different to other weight management programmes. I was pleased to learn that the name Ideal Weight means that each person decides their ideal weight, it is a personal decision and totally up to each one that joins Ideal Weight.
They believe that losing weight isn’t the hardest part – it’s keeping it off that’s tricky. That’s why learning the skills for long term weight management is at the heart of what they do. They offer a refreshing approach to weight loss and dedicated to helping people find and maintain their ideal weight. Clients not only lose weight, but also learn how to keep it off for good and build a more positive relationship with food.
The weekly coaching sessions are designed to address why you are overweight and your relationship with food, which is refreshing to see a weight management company looking at the root of the problem, instead of just offering a quick fix.
The weight loss eating plan offered by Ideal Weight uses a combination of nutrition packs, where you can choose from a range of milkshakes, meals, soups and bars, alongside conventional meals that you will prepare for yourself.
We were given a goodie bag to take home, and I must admit I wasn’t sure whether the pack of Spaghetti Bolognese would be enough for my lunch as it comes dehydrated, but I was pleasantly surprised once it came out of the microwave. It was tasty and it looked just like Spaghetti Bolognese, the portion is not very big, but portion control is essential to any weight loss.
It was lovely meeting Kirsty and Lindsey and finding out more about Ideal Weight. For more information, please check http://www.idealweight.co.uk/
