Nordic Oil Omega 3 Supplement
Although we have a healthy diet, with plenty of fruit and vegetables, we don’t have enough fish in our diet. According to government guidelines, a healthy diet should include at least two portions of fish a week, including one of oily fish.
As a biologist, I know how important having fish is and I try to incorporate more seafood by making recipes such as Fisherman’s Pie Recipe. Oily fish, such as salmon and fresh tuna, is particularly rich in long-chain omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential in the maintenance of good health and vitality.
As such, they have been shown to help with reduced risk of sudden heart attack and cardiovascular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, depression and Alzheimer’s. Besides, omega 3 has also been linked with the improved quality of skin, hair and nails, making them a staple beauty supplement.
I was sent Nordic Oil to try. Nordic Oil is produced with premium quality assurance, using the very best ingredients from the most pure and sustainable sources.
Nordic Oil High Grade Omega 3 Oil (RRP £15.99 for 250ml bottle), is a 6 week supply of a 100% triple filtered, ultra purified and molecularly distilled, infused with anti-oxidants. The first thing I noticed is that it doesn’t have a strong fishy flavour. I usually prefer to take capsules of omega 3, as previous oils have been far too strong for my liking, however I was pleasantly surprised with the citrus flavour of Nordic Oil, which is a Taste Award Winner due to the palatable natural lemon flavour.
Nordic Oil Omega 3 with Vitamin D3 Capsules (RRP £12.50 for 60) is a month supply of Nordic Oil and Vitamin D made with pharmaceutical grade oil and anti-oxidant Vitamin E. Research suggests that vitamin D can help to support a healthy immune system and maintain healthy bones, muscles and teeth. Most of our vitamin D intake is from sunlight, so it is particularly important to take vitamin D supplements during winter.
Overall, I prefer Nordic Oil in the capsules format as they are convenient and I can easily add a few capsules in my handbag to take it while I am at work. However the bottle format has a pleasant taste, so I am happy to take both to supplement my diet and provide my daily dose of omega 3.
