The Autumn Sleekster Selection by Hotel Chocolat

Every day I pass by a Hotel Chocolat store on my way to work and I can’t stop looking at their lovely collection of luxury chocolates with a focus on ethically sources cocoa, authenticity and innovation.

Last year, I took Easter Eggs from Hotel Chocolat to my family in Brazil and they loved every aspect of it, from the quality of the chocolate to the sophisticated packaging. I was told I need to take Hotel Chocolat with me whenever I visit them.

We were sent a box of The Autumn Sleekster Selection (RRP £23.00) which contains 28 chocolates, a cosy collection of seasonal delights guaranteed to warm rosy cheeks on chilly evenings.

Not only are the chocolates gorgeous, nearly too pretty to be eaten, they taste just as good as they look. Our box had a selection of delicious chocolates, including the gorgeous Praline Pumpkin, plump pumpkin filled with smooth hazelnut praline. There are other chocolates with praline, Pistachio Praline Crunches, Milk Praline Acorns, and Apple Strudels.

If you prefer chocolate with alcohol, you will enjoy Irish Whiskey and Cream Truffles, Egg and Brandy Truffles, Sloe Gin Truffles and Mulled Ports. For those that prefer fruity chocolates, you will like Blackcurrant Bombes and Blackberry Truffles.

I am a big fan of toffee and caramel, so I loved trying Burnt Caramels, and Salted Praline and Caramels, but my favourite has to be Treacle Tarts, a marriage of molasses and runny caramel crowned with a crunchy shortbread biscuit.

Overall, we are very impressed with the chocolates in The Autumn Sleekster Selection, each chocolate is uniquely crafted with a lovely combination of flavours and texture. The whole family enjoyed the gorgeous chocolates and asked for more once they were gone. Which one should I bring home next time I pass by the Hotel Chocolat store on my way to work?
