Christmas Dinner Cooking Guide: Turkey Timing Infographic
I can’t believe it’s nearly time to prepare our turkey and have our Christmas dinner. I am looking forward to it, can’t wait to have our family together round the table enjoying some lovely food and drinks. However we never hosted Christmas before, so fingers crossed it will all work out to plan.
Waitrose developed a cool Turkey Timing Infographic, a 10 step by step Christmas Dinner cooking plan to coincide with key points to favourite Christmas movies. We are hosting a small dinner for 6 people, so our infographic has been based on a 3kg turkey, with cooking instructions and timing according to the size of our turkey to correspond with key points to the movie ‘The Polar Express’.
Such a great idea to have the infographic, it means that we can snuggle down to watch the movie and know exactly when to pop back to the kitchen to baste the turkey and start boiling the sprouts.
We were also sent some delicious Waitrose festive snacks and treats to keep our family quiet while watching The Polar Express and waiting for the Christmas dinner. We will be enjoying a selection of sweets, including Jelly Babies, Dairy Fudge, Fizzy Strawberry Lances, Marshmallows, Liquorice All Sorts, Wine Gums, Snowflake Marshmallow.
We will have Shortcrust Mince Piece and Chocolate Biscuit Selection with a cup of tea to keep us warm. We were also sent Salted Microwave Popcorn and Somerset Cheese and Red Onion Hand Cooked Chips. Yummy, can’t wait to Christmas so we sit down and watch a movie together and start enjoying our lovely selection of snacks!
