Last Minute Christmas Gift: Child-Friendly Kindle Fire HDX

If you are looking for a child-friendly gift suitable for the whole family, you should consider Kindle Fire HDX. A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to a Kindle event where I was introduced to the new Kindle Fire HDX or All-New Kindle Paperwhite.

The All-New Kindle Paperwhite is the world’s most advanced e-reader offering new display technology with a higher contrast touch screen, next generation built-in light, faster processor, 8-weeks battery life, plus brand-new reading features such as Kindle Page Flip, Smart Lookup, Vocabulary Builder, and more. It is also available in 3G and it looked great during the demonstration at the event.

The new Kindle Fire HDX is a powerhouse tablet built for work and play, it brings you the best of both worlds. Before going to the event, I saw the Kindle Fire HDX TV ad featuring the MayDay button and I was very impressed with the on-device tech support from an Amazon expert 24h a day, 7 days a week. During the demonstration, I learnt more about Kindle FreeTime, a great feature available in the new Kindle Fire tablets and new Kindle Paperwhite, where parents can manage the content their children is accessing by creating personalised profiles for their children and customising the content accordingly.

When little man is at home, he is engaged in a range of activities, from playing, crafting, educational games, etc. Kindle Fire HDX can be used to play games and watch movies, but also as an educational tool due to Kindle FreeTime which allows parents to set daily educational goals for reading and playing educational games, while blocking entertainment content until the educational goals are met. You can get child-friendly accessories for the Kindle Fire HDX such as child-proof case and chunky stylus.
