BRITA Boost: Dinner Party with Foodelity

I can’t believe January is nearly over, I must confess it has gone by very quickly. As you are aware, I am giving up alcohol this month and keeping hydrated with BRITA filtered water as part of BRITA Boost Challenge.

BRITA Boost Throughout the month, BRITA is providing us with alternative activities to combat the reasons that we would normally drink alcohol. We went to a Mixology Mocktail Masterclass, focusing on TASTE, as one of the top five reasons most people drink is because of the taste of alcohol. The other reasons are:  socialising, confidence boost, relaxing and for the buzz.

BRITA has arranged a private dinner party for us, focusing on SOCIALISING. Drinking provides great opportunities to spend time with friends and family, however by hosting a dinner party with no alcohol proved that we don’t actually need booze to have fun.

We were sent a box of fresh ingredients from Foodelity to host our dinner party at home. We love great quality food and going to nice restaurants, but we struggle to arrange childcare, so it was nice to enjoy restaurant quality food at the comfort of our own home.

After choosing the menu online for the 3 course meal dinner, our box arrived with everything we needed for the dishes, in exact quantities, so there was no need to measure and no waste involved. The ingredients arrived with step-by-step recipe cards with pictures, which were easy to follow.

We enjoyed the following dishes at our dinner party:

Cornish Seafood Chowder

Overall, we had an amazing dinner party, full of great food, laughter and fun. The truth is we didn’t miss having alcohol at all, we were too busy tasting the lovely dishes and chatting to each other.

Thank you BRITA for the opportunity of hosting such a lovely dinner party and showing that it is possible to socialise and have fun without alcohol.

I hosted a Dinner Party as part of BRITA Boost Challenge, however the opinions expressed in this post are honest and my own.
