Spread the Magic of Storytelling with Heinz ‘Get Well’ Soup Campaign

A few months ago, I tried Heinz new soup flavours and I really like their soups with a twist, my favourite was cream of tomato soup with fiery Mexican spices. Now Heinz teamed up with Starlight Children’s Foundation to bring the magic of storytelling to poorly children across the UK. Isn’t it such a lovely way to put a smile on someone’s face by giving them a personalised can of Heinz soup while also putting a smile on a child’s face?

Heinz Get Well Soon

After the huge success of last year’s ‘Get Well’ Soup campaign, Heinz is delighted to be working once again with national children’s charity Starlight to bring smiles to the faces of poorly children. Heinz is once more joining forces with Starlight to raise money to provide entertainment for children who are spending time in hospitals and hospices across the UK.

From the 6th January 2014, for a limited time, the public can bring a smile to a loved one who is feeling under the weather by purchasing, gifting or sharing a personalised can of ‘Get Well’ Soup via the UK Heinz Soup Facebook page www.facebook.com/HeinzSoupUK.

A portion of the sales from each can sold (£1 for every individual can of ‘Get Well’ Soup) will go towards Starlight Storytellers, an initiative run by Starlight that provides storytelling sessions for children in hospitals and hospices in the UK.  A limited number of the personalised cans will be available to purchase every day of the campaign.

Heinz Get Well Soon2 This year’s partnership between Heinz and Starlight also sees an exciting limited edition can design for Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup, incorporating Starlight’s iconic logo (above). The new can design includes information on this year’s partnership and how people can get involved by purchasing a personalised can of Heinz soup.

In addition to granting wishes for children with serious and terminal illnesses, Starlight brings entertainment to over 500,000 poorly children in hospitals and hospices every year and Starlight Storytellers is part of the charity’s 2014 programme of hospital entertainment.

Each Starlight Storytelling session will cover three classic tales and be performed by four actors. This year, some of the best-loved children’s stories will be brought to life for children in hospitals. The Starlight Storytellers tour will run for a month in March 2014; visiting poorly young patients in two hospitals/hospices each day, six days a week.
