Tesco Healthy Living: Big on Taste, Lower in Calories

A couple of weeks ago, I talked about Tasty Healthy Food with Tesco New Healthy Living Range, designed for all of those that want to make healthier food choices. The new range has a clear label, so you can easily identify ‘big on taste, lower in calories’ products if you are losing weight, and ‘beautifully balanced’ products if you want to eat more healthily or maintain your weight.

There is a wide range of products in Tesco Healthy Living big on taste, lower in calories, from chilled prepared meals, salads and salad dressings, through to desserts, snacks and yogurts.

Just because you are trying to lose weight, it doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy pasta and curry. You can have Ham and Mushroom Tagliatelle pasta in a rich sauce with pulled Wiltshire ham, roasted mushrooms and broccoli, it is very tasty and creamy, and less than 400 calories. You could also enjoy a Vegetable Curry made with roasted peppers, cauliflower and courgettes in an aromatic spiced curry sauce with long grain rice, delicious curry and only 235 calories.

If you don’t have time to sit down for lunch, you could have rice crackers with cottage cheese. Rice Cakes to go comes with 5 packs of 3 multigrain rice cakes each. The rice cakes are lovely on their own, and with creamy Cottage Cheese with Cucumber and Mint, yummy!

I love sweet treats and with Tesco Healthy Living you can actually have your cake and eat it. My favourite is Banoffe Muffin Dessert, banana and toffee flavoured mousse and toffee custard with toffee muffin pieces and plain chocolate curls, such a lovely dessert! If you prefer yogurts, you could have Greek Style yogurts, fat free fruit flavoured yogurt in coconut and mango & passion fruit flavours – very creamy and tasty.

Warm rice pudding is perfect in this cold weather, Tesco Healthy Living rice pudding is made with skimmed milk and whipping cream, with a sprinkle of nutmeg, beautifully made. Cheesecake is not considered a healthy dessert, but you could enjoy a reduced fat version, such as Blackcurrant Layered Dessert, blackcurrant cheesecake and blackcurrant sauce on a digestive biscuit crumb, fruity and delicious.

Overall, we have thoroughly enjoyed trying Tesco Healthy Living, big on taste, lower in calories. The products are just how it says on the pack, healthy without compromising on the taste.
