Make Brushing Routine Fun with Aquafresh Little Teeth
A few days ago, I was chatting to little man about brushing his teeth, I reminded him that if he didn’t clean his teeth, they would fall out. He suddenly got all excited, I couldn’t quite understand what was going on, he then explained that he wouldn’t brush his teeth, as he wanted them fall out so the Tooth Fairy could pay us a visit.
We know that it is important for young children to get into a habit of a regular brushing routine and to understand the importance of good toothbrushing, however sometimes it isn’t always straight forward as we would hope.
Luckily little man is quite good at brushing his teeth, but a research by the makers of Aquafresh revealed that toothbrushing is often the cause of arguments in the family, along with getting their kids dressed (6%), brushing hair (6%) and leaving them with someone who isn’t mum or dad (5%).
One in seven (14%) say their child hates toothbrushing. This could explain why more than one in ten mums (13%) admit to bribing their kids to brush with a variety of rewards.
We were sent a lovely towel with great tips for keeping little one’s interested in tooth brushing, making it more fun and enjoyable for everyone. One of my favourite tip is: ‘Everyone loves a Sing-a-Long. Make up a song about brushing with your child and put it to the tune of their favourite nursery rhyme’.
That’s exactly what we did some time ago. We made up the song ‘We love brushing our teeth, we love brushing our teeth’, we still sing it as it gets little man excited about tooth brushing and we get it done in no time.
Another great tip is ‘Let your child pick their own fun toothbrush to bring brush time an injection of colour’. Little man loves colourful toothbrushes so he was delighted to receive a sample of Aquafresh Little Teeth toothbrush, a range of colourful toothbrushes with animal themed characters, to help engage kids and encourage them to brush.
The animal themed designs are child-friendly, featuring a suction pad on the bottom for easy storage around the sink. Aquafresh Little Teeth toothpaste is specially designed for children aged 3 to 5 years old to provide protection for your child’s growing teeth.
Little man really likes his new Aquafresh Little Teeth toothbrush and toothpaste. He loves reading the tips in his new towel, it is encouraging him to brush his teeth.
