Mumbucks Motivating Reward System for Kids

When I was little, my brother and I used to receive pocket money, I have recently shared our Pocket Money Tales and mentioned that managing my monthly allowance during my childhood has helped me to look after my finances now.

A while ago, we started giving little man pocket money as a way of rewarding his good behaviour and teaching him to manage money. We were recently introduced to a brand new reward system, Mumbucs, a fun and motivating way to encourage good behaviour, educate on discipline and help children learn the facts of life.

The Mumbucks set (RRP £14.99) comes with 82 Mumbucks notes in different denominations, from 1 to 50 and a reward chart to be personalised by each family.

The Mumbucks system is created around realistic looking note based currency which is earned for good behaviour, saved for special treats and traded for time towards doing favourite activities.

In the reward chart, you can write down how much each mumbucks is worth, and how you can earn mumbucks by doing homework, helping with chores, keeping room tidy and being kind to each other. You can also save mumbucks or trade them for your favourite activities such as watching TV, playing games or staying late on weekends.

Little man loves holding money so when he saw Mumbucks, he was excited that he would start getting notes instead of pound coins. Instead of giving him a pound on Fridays, he now receives one Mumbuck for good behaviour and special achievements. You can decide how much each Mumbucks is worth, we opted for 25p towards favourite treats.

Overall, Mumbucks is a great reward system, it is flexible as you can decide how kids earn and trade mumbucks. it is also educational as it teaches children the value of money and the art of saving.
