Our Zack and Quack Party Update #ZackandQuack
A couple of weeks ago, we hosted our Zack and Quack Party with UKMumsTV to mark the premiere of a new pre-school TV show called Zack & Quack, which is based on Zack and his friends’ adventures in an amazing pop-up world of paper.
Zack and Quack follows the adventures of a dynamic & adventurous boy named Zack & his best friend, an impulsive young duck called Quack. They live inside the most amazing pop-up book ever! It’s a place full of fantastical surprises – where pulling pop-ups makes exciting & unexpected things happen. From the second they step into their garden, the adventure begins. Exciting new worlds & fantastic voyages quite literally unfold before your eyes!
Resourceful friend and neighbour, Kira, joins the dazzling duo on each adventure and is on hand to fix any paper problem with her expert pop-up tool kit. Zack and Quack meet plenty of quirky friends along the way including a wise frog called Belly Up, Skip and Hop – a pair of acrobatic squirrel sisters, and an ever cautious hedgehog called Fluffy. Together with their friends, Zack and Quack soon discover that anything’s possible with the power of pop up.
We were sent a lovely party box for our Zack and Quack Party, including loads of craft materials and craft activities sheets, biscuits and a selection of icing to decorate them and a great Nick Jr goody bag. You can download Zack and Quack Activity Sheets, such as wordsearch, maze, origami and spot the difference, to keep your little ones entertained.
We have previously hosted other parties, Peppa Pig Theme Park Party and Something Special Party, but our Zack and Quack party was completely different as the kids had craft materials to create anything they wished. Little man and his school friends had a lot of fun with glitter glue and sticking the boxes together to make a model, while enjoying cupcakes and sweets during the first hour of the party.
There were lots of sticking, drawing, colouring and glueing during our Zack and Quack party. I also got some balloons for our craft party and we tried to make shapes out of them. The children enjoyed trying to make animal balloons. It was a success along with the other craft activities.
Once Zack and Quack premiere started, the kids sat down to watch the show while having some food. They really liked the new cartoon, and the fact there are surprises abound in Zack and Quack, as pulling pop-ups triggers unexpected wonders and causes exciting new worlds to literally unfold before their eyes.
In the premiere episode “Pop-Up Speedway,” Zack and his friends build a pop-up race car and Zack wants to prove it’s a winner on the greatest raceway ever. Zack and Quack will have to use all of their pop-up “engine-uity” to show that their homemade hot-rod is just as good as the other cars.
The kids’ favourite activity was decorating biscuits with chocolate icing, they enjoyed decorating the biscuits and eating them. We also had trinket boxes to decorate during our party, and when it finished, the kids used the trinket boxes to take home their decorated biscuits and cupcakes.
By the end of the party, the kids made a castle with glittery windows and a Zack and Quack tower – quite sweet for a group of 4/5 year old children. They all left the party really happy with their lovely goodie bag and with the new cartoon.
New episodes of Zack and Quack air every Friday at 4.30pm on Nick Jr. Viewers can also visit nickjr.co.uk/zackandquack for more fun and games.
Thank you very much to UKMumsTV for the opportunity of being a host, we loved it!
The party pack was provided free of charge to host a Zack and Quack Party. However the opinions expressed in this review are honest and my own.
