Baking and Colouring Fun with Hobbycraft

Little man and I enjoy baking and making delicious cakes, we have previously shared our Top 5 Tip for Baking With Kids. In my opinion, it is all about having fun and spending quality time together in the kitchen.

Tala Child’s Baking Set (RRP £10.00) is a lovely set to bake and decorate small cakes. It comes with a round mini springform cake tin, squeeze bottle with writer nozzle, mechanical timer and mini spatula. There is also a sponge cake recipe included in the set in case you need any inspiration.

We decided to use the set to make ‘Rainbow flapjacks’ with coloured chocolate beans, by making a standard flapjack recipe with golden syrup, sugar, butter and oats, then adding chocolate beans on top before cooking.

The pieces in the set are smaller than standard version, perfect for children’s little hands; they can make their own cakes, put in the mini cake tin and stir with the mini spatula. Little man loved making flapjacks with Tala Child’s Baking Set.

Apart from baking, little man loves drawing, colouring and being creative. Tomy Aquadoodle Mini Mats (RRP £5.00) comes with 3 mini mats and one Aquadoodle pen. Little man is an Aquadoodle fan, he finds it magical that he only needs to fill the Aquadoodle pen with water and use it to colour in, and once dry, it magically disappears and the fun begins again.

The mini mats are reusable, the image fades away once the water dries, providing endless fun. It is a lovely toy to keep children entertained at home and on long journeys as there is no mess involved. Little man had a great time colouring in with Tomy Aquadoodle Mini Mats.
