Bedroom Makeover: Looking for the Right Bed
A few days ago, it occurred to me that a quarter of my life is spent sleeping, taking into account I usually sleep for around 7 to 8 hours each night. I don’t sleep as much as I did when I was a baby, but I treasure my sleep and need to have a good night’ sleep to make the most of the following day.
I might not go to bed as early as I would like, but as soon as my head hits the pillow, I’m gone for the night until my alarm goes off the following morning. Luckily we haven’t had any issues with sleepless nights and broken sleep with little man, he has always been very good during the night since he was a baby – he likes his sleep as much as his mummy!
Considering how long we spend sleeping during our lifetime, I believe we should invest in what helps us have a peaceful and relaxing night, including a decent bed, mattress and bedding. We have the same bed since we moved in seven years ago, it is about time to have a bedroom makeover and get a new bed. I like our current bed, but it is outdated and a bit broken, we could definitely do with a new one, I would love a new stylish bed.
While I was searching online for new beds, I found a wide range of bed styles at Bed Sale Online, a leading online bed and mattress supplier in the UK, including upholstered beds, wooden beds, metal beds, divan bed, leather bed and even children’s beds and bunk beds.
It was tough deciding which one was my favourite type of bed as there were so many lovely styles to choose from, but I really like upholstered beds, especially the elegant brown ones. I picked three of my favourite upholstered beds:
Time Living Hamburg Upholstered Bed Frame (RRP £219, on sale for £179), a modern design available in two colours, coco brown and pebble grey, featuring a simple and chunky design with clean lines.
The bed frame is sturdy in construction and robust, so it should last quite some time. For maximum comfort and support, it has a sprung slatted base and it is available in four different sizes. The coco brown style in the picture is my favourite, it is stylish and it would match with our bedroom decor.
I also like the look of Serene Chelsea Upholstered Bed Frame (RRP £349, on sale for £259), available in three colours, charcoal, cream and fudge. You can also choose the colour finish on the fee, and the options are natural, Walnut, Mahogany and Ebony.
The bed frame of the Serene Chelsea has a low foot end and a high head end with padding. The fudge style in the picture is fashionable and elegant at the same time. It would complement the style of any bedroom.
My other choice would be Limelight Orbit Upholstered Bed Frame (RRP £409, on sale for £309) in black velvet. It is completely different to my other favourite beds, the velvet adds a touch of elegance to the modern bed frame, featuring a scrolled headboard and footboard.
