Clarks Kids New iPad Food Gauge and Mother’s Day Ideas

We love Clarks shoes, they are fashionable and durable. A few months ago, we visited our local Clarks store to purchase school shoes for little man, and I am pleased to say that they are still going strong after eight months of daily wear and tear!

Clarks has recently launched a brand new iPad Foot Gauge state of the art technology, offering a unique shoe fitting service. Great fitting shoes are at the heart of Clarks; the aim is to continually improve both the consumer experience and the accuracy of the measuring and fitting service and that’s why Clarks have developed a first in the footwear industry – an iPad Foot Gauge.

Little man has wide feet, and we usually struggle to find shoes that fit him perfectly, we were looking forward to trying the new iPad Foot Gauge and see how it compared to the old shoe fitting service.

When we visited Clarks, we noticed that the new technology is innovative and fun, making the whole experience very enjoyable for kids.

The new device uses a footplate to measure foot length and a special digi-tape to measure foot width. This size information is then relayed to the iPad app, presenting an instant shoe size guide that Clarks trained fitters use to find perfectly fitting shoes for each child. The device also features animated Clarks characters, Jack Nano and Daisy, who entertain children whilst guiding them through each simple step.

Little man really liked having his feet measured, and once we knew his size, it was time to pick his new shoes. There were great styles to choose from, including colourful and funky trainers. Little man’s favourites were In Play range in yellow and green leather, and in red and black leather, and football boots in blue leather.

In the end, we opted for the gorgeous Wing Brite (RRP £36.00), featuring a new Jets theme and carry bold detailing on the upper. It is made of durable leather shades of blue, with toe and heel protection and padded topline.

 Little man loved the design of his new shoes and the cool flashing lights in the heel. He put it on while we were at the store and didn’t want to take it off. Once again, we had a lovely experience at Clarks, their friendly and helpful staff made us feel comfortable and at home.
