COMPETITION: #Win Week Supply of Go Gluten Free with Ilumi
By now you must have noticed I am a big fan of Ilumi gluten free meals, they are tasty and convenient ready meals, perfect for when you want to enjoy a nice meal but don’t have time to cook or can’t be bothered.
Ilumi has a wide range of meals, we’ve tried Thai Red Chicken and Rice and really liked it. We also liked Kerala Chicken Curry and Slow Cooked Lamb Casserole. The Middle Eastern Range was very tasty and so was the Gastro Pub Range.
Apart from purchasing single meals, you can also have a Go Gluten Free plan which comes with all your gluten free meals for 7 days, for only £40 including free delivery. The weekly plan has everything you need for a week, 7 breakfast, 7 lunches, 7 main dishes and snacks for every day. It also comes with gluten-free beers so you can enjoy over the weekend.
I’ve been trying Ilumi Go Gluten Free plan and it is easy to follow, I love the variety of the dishes available. It is convenient as you don’t need to worry about preparing your meals or deciding what you are going to eat. You simply need to place the pouches in the microwave and enjoy after a couple of minutes.
Breakfast is a daily serving of Nairn’s porridge oats, gluten free real porridge oats. I love porridge, so I enjoyed my breakfast with sliced fruit and a cup of tea.
At lunchtime, I enjoyed a range of dishes, from tasty soups to hearty casseroles. My favourite was Slow-Cooked Lamb Casserole, slow cooked diced lamb in rosemary and mint gravy, with sliced potatoes and carrots. It is a very tasty dish and well seasoned.
As I was eating my favourite dish, I’ve noticed that my photo didn’t do justice to the meal as it didn’t show the nice pieces of meat hidden underneath the vegetables. Unfortunately it was too late to take another photo of my half eaten plate, but I can tell you it was yummy!
At dinner time, you can enjoy a selection of meals such as Kerala Chicken Curry with Yellow Basmati Rice, marinated chicken in a mild and creamy southern Indian curry sauce made with coconut milk, aromatic ground and roasted spices.
I love curry and Kerala Chicken is my favourite, the chicken is tender while the sauce is full of flavour. The Go Gluten Free plan comes with a couple of bottles of Celia Larger, so you can enjoy a gluten-free takeaway evening with Ilumi – such a great idea!
Apart from the lovely meals, there are also tasty snacks, Nairn’s Oat and Syrup Biscuits and Nairn’s Oatcakes. I found them perfect with a cup of tea in between my meals. They are individually packed, ideal to be eaten on the go.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed trying Ilumi Go Gluten Free plan, it was convenient and tasty. I really enjoyed the meals and, although I am not intolerant to gluten, it can make me feel bloated. I really liked the fact that I didn’t feel bloated at all while I was trying the dishes, joys of following a gluten-free plan.
