Spring Fever
We may not have had the winter with mountains of snow or sub-zero temperatures but we have had enough rain to all start thinking about the ark. Soon we will be venturing into the beauteous season of spring although, if you had looked around you on your way to work there are signs already with snowdrops, ladybird and butterfly sightings. The kids will love this!
Walks
Start taking advantage of the change in the air and fill your lungs with the smell of spring before it really settles: walking through woods can restore your essence in ways that going away cannot manage. Being a nature watcher will demand an alternative concentration mechanism. Spotting an early Brimstone, Red Admiral and Small Tortoiseshells through the Woodland Trust network of nature gazers will astonish you and delve into the deepest parts of you. Exercise for the mind and body that everyone will love.
Move to the beat
The positive news is moving shakes off any blues by some simple steps for everyone, all age groups, the kids and you too. Whatever your priorities, job hunting or renting a flat through Rentify etc, try and add or swap them for some that will bring a spring to your step. Nothing beats the blues or despair than some exercise: select some of your favourites or look for some new ones to add to your collection and start moving! Let the kids choose theirs and swap round, introducing them to your taste. Fun all round!
If you prefer to be outdoors, grab your earphones and plug in some new tunes: pace yourself and start slowly with some stretches then move into the swing, liberate that mind of everything and enjoy being free. You will return rejuvenated and ready to take on the world! Either take turns or done en famille!
Dance you way into spring
There are many of us who, although we admire all those joggers and gym enthusiasts, need the company of like minded folk plus the enticing moves of a dance routine to feel the adrenaline rush. Everyone should move at their level and enjoy the music, the ambiance and movement even if you have only two left feet. Dance can liberate you from all your burdens and will release all those happy endorphins that are the fruit of the brain; the kids will enjoy some Irish dancing and a dance through to adulthood.
Children and dance are a natural pair especially from a young age. Not only do they learn to understand and value culture, their sense of rhythm will be explored, their communication skills be will on hand and learn more about handling themselves, gaining self-confidence plus because they will be in groups, they will be keen to work as a team, support others to perform their best and when it comes times to perform in front of their parents, they will shine and feel proud of their achievements.
Parents can also participate in dance to inspire their children: keeping young on your feet and in spirit!
