What Does Motherhood Mean to You?

I love being a mum, motherhood has well and truly changed my whole life, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.  Being a mum is an amazing job, I find very rewarding seeing my baby growing and developing into a little someone.

I still remember as if it was today when I held little man for the very first time, he was so small and fragile. From that day I knew that I would do anything for him, I would protect him, keep him safe and I love him with all my heart.

There is nothing like coming home after a busy day at work to a cuddle from my little boy, I’m always greeted with a beautiful smile and a tight hug – it is priceless.

Pink Lining, the makers of gorgeous designer bags including stylish and functional changing bags, maternity bags and children’s bags, run a competition on Facebook where mums were asked to submit a picture of themselves and their children, along with a comment summarising their own definition of motherhood. Some entries were immortalised in a video celebrating the best definitions of modern motherhood, in no more than six words.

The video is so cute, I could probably write a whole book on what motherhood means to me, but if I had to choose only six words, it would be: Unconditional love, laughter, happiness and joy!
