Easter Gift Guide: Easter Eggs, Sweet Treats and Alternative Gifts
How exciting, Easter is just a week away, kids are home and the weather is getting warmer – what more could we ask for?!
We have been busy lately trying a selection of Easter products for our Easter Gift Guide, from tasty chocolates to alternative gifts. In no particular order, those are our favourites products this Easter, hope you enjoy our selection!
Sweet Treats and Easter Eggs:
Hotel Chocolat has a beautiful range of Easter eggs, including You Crack Me Up Extra Thick Chocolate Easter Egg (RRP £28.00), which is a very cute extra thick Easter egg cast in milk chocolate with 12 smiley face pralines and happy chicks inside.
There are six different chocolates: Milk Praline Fried Egg with hazelnut praline-filled half shell topped with white chocolate fried egg, Crunchy Praline Mocha Chocolate happy face with crunchy biscuit pieces and praline, and Easter Chocolate Brownie Milk Chocolate happy face with crispy chocolate buttercream.
There is also Caramel Bow Tie Bunny filled with luxurious runny caramel, White Soldier, creamy white chocolate solder pre-dipped with a dollop of creamy chocolate yolk and Milk Chocolate Chick. Cute and lovely chocolates!
Martins Chocolatiers Wickedly White Chocolate Box from Find me a Gift (RRP £25.00) contains 30 luxury white chocolate handmade by Martins Chocolatiers. The colourful chocolates are beautiful and very tasty, with a mix a soft centres ranging from truffles to fruit cream. You will find whipped buttercream with apricot jam, tiramisu cream and classic vanilla truffle.
There are fruity chocolates such as orange ganache, crushed raspberry layers with milk chocolate, and spicy ginger orange. If you prefer nutty chocolates, you will love hazelnut cream and pistachio surprise. I really liked Martins Chocolatiers Wickedly White Chocolate Box, but if I had to pick two favourites, it would be white caramel basket with Brazil nut crumble and vanilla cream and caramel – yummy!
Guylian, the world’s favourite Belgian chocolatier, has a beautiful and tasty Easter range with hand decorated Easter eggs made with luxurious creamy Belgian milk chocolate. Guylian Mini Filled Eggs (RRP £3.49) are individually wrapped chocolate egg in a choice of three flavours, milk chocolate truffle, milk chocolate praline and dark chocolate praline.
Guylian Luxury Egg (RRP £10.99) comes with a luxury milk chocolate egg and box of chocolate. The Easter egg is made with finest milk chocolate and you can also enjoy an assortment of exquisite Belgian chocolates including Original Praline Sea Horses, delicious Opus pralines and delicate La Perlina truffles. Guylian Sea Shell Egg (RRP £5.99) is a luxury milk chocolate egg with Guylian Finest Belgian chocolate sea shells. Guylian’s Easter range is available at all good supermarkets and selected independent retailers nationwide and via Guylian’s UK web shop.
Make Your Own Chocolate Egg Kit (RRP £12.99) was sent as a gift from Stayindevon.co.uk in partnership with Choconchoc. It is a lovely kit to make Easter eggs using delicious Belgian chocolate in three simple steps: melt, mould and make.
The kit includes a chef’s hat, moulds for the chocolate, milk chocolate buttons for melting and a bag of sweets for decorating. It is recommended for children aged 6 years and above, but little man is under 5 and he found easy and straight forward making Easter eggs with the kit. Not only he had fun making and decorating his Easter eggs, he also enjoy eating them!
Sainsbury’s has a brand new range of chocolate Easter eggs (RRP £1.25) packed with a generous bag of treats, including by Sainsbury’s Eric the Elephant Egg filled with Eric the Elephant soft gummy sweets, by Sainsbury’s Milk Chocolate Egg with fizzy sour strawberry belt and by Sainsbury’s Milk Chocolate Egg with mini jelly beans.
By Sainsbury’s Easter Eggs are made with their favourite chocolate recipe that uses only cocoa butter as opposed to vegetable oil, giving a rich chocolate flavour and melt in the mouth smooth and creamy texture. The chocolate Easter eggs are delicious and the sweets are a lovely addition!
If you are after a special Easter egg, Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Easter eggs are made with 100% Belgian Chocolate, Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Belgian Praline Egglet Chocolates (RRP £4.00) are lovely little eggs, full of flavour, while Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Belgian Milk Egg & Marc De Champagne is a beautifully decorated chocolate egg with delicious truffles.
Sainsbury’s also has a selection of products for Easter egg hunts and games, such as Sainsbury’s Egg & Spoon Race Kit (RRP £3.00) with everything you need for your egg and spoon race, Easter Fun Mix (RRP £2.50) with mini Easter eggs, marshmallows and sweets. There are also mini chocolate Easter eggs and Chocolate Lollipops (RRP £1.00). Such a lovely range of delicious treats and chocolate eggs at Sainsbury’s!

Flopsy Tan are well made soft shoes and so cute, perfect to be worn at home as slippers. Little man doesn’t usually wear slippers as they keep falling off his feet, but Flopsy Tan stays on his feet the whole time, thanks to the elasticated ankles for easy fit and to ensure shoes stay on. Little man loves wearing Inch Blue Flopsy Tan, he mentioned they are very comfortable too.
Morning Sunshine: A Dish for a Wish (RRP £12.00),celebrity cookbook from Rays of Sunshine with a selection of egg themed breakfast and brunch recipes from celebrities and chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, One Direction, Leona Lewis, Jamie Oliver, Gwyneth Paltrow, Pippa Middleton, Boris Johnson, Lorraine Pascale, Pixie Lott, Kelly Brook and Gino D’Acampo.
The book features 27 delicious recipes, divided into something simple, something sweeter, something different and something with eggs. You will find recipes such as pan-fried egg with aubergine caponata and anchovy dressing by Gordon Ramsay, Spanish omelette by Kelly Brook, and Pancakes with bacon, maple syrup and berries by Myleene Klass. Not only will you be inspired with egg-themed recipes this Easter, you will also help a charity, as all proceeds go to Rays of Sunshine, granting magical wishes every day.
SoccerSuckers (RRP £1.99) are a unique series of collectables for football fans. Inside a football capsule, you will find a Premier League player from Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur, so you can create your perfect dream team from the Premier League’s top string of players.
There is one player per capsule and on the back of the player is a sucker which can be stuck to most clean and glossy surfaces such as windows, mirrors, baths and fridges. Each capsule is sealed so you don’t know which player is inside. Little man loved the excitement of opening each football capsule to find different players, such a lovely gift, perfect for football mad kids.
