Interior Design: Personalised Digital Blind by Web-Blinds

I’ve always wondered what our house would look like if we had blinds, but I wasn’t sure how to put them up and thought it could take a lot of time and effort. Little did I know it was so straight-forward!

Web-Blinds, one of Hillary’s online brands, invited us to take part in the Family Challenge as a way to bring families together and capture these special moments. Little man was asked to select a memorable family photo to be printed on a digital blind, made to measure.

I watched an online video showing step by step how to measure blinds. There is a lot of useful information regarding fitting and measuring for blinds at http://www.web-blinds.com/how-to-measure-and-fit/ The videos are easy to understand, you could have an exact fitting or recess fitting. We opted for exact fitting, which is fitting outside the window recess.

Digital blinds are perfect for bedrooms, they are easy to create by choosing a picture from an online image collection or your favourite photos to be printed on a roller blind. You can have a single picture or collage, since we couldn’t decide on a single photo, we went for a collage design.

We picked our memorable family pictures, little man loves face-painting, and he always chooses to be a tiger, so we had to include it in the blind design. Our other picture was taken during a family holiday to Cyprus, while we were happily relaxing by the beach on a sunny day.

The final picture was taken at my uncle’s farm in Brazil, where little man saw lots of animals, from cows and chickens to snakes. We had such an amazing holiday, it is definitely one of our best family memories.

Once our gorgeous digital blind arrived, we were very impressed with the quality of the photos and the overall look of the blind. It was quick and easy to put up, the blind arrived with screws and fittings, we simply needed a power drill, drill bit and crossed head screwdriver.

We love our digital blind, it is well made with a high quality print. It is our first blind, but it certainly it won’t be the last. Hubby already mentioned that he wants to swap all the curtains at home for blinds. Digital blinds are a great way to capture special memories. I should add that it always puts a big smile on our faces whenever we see the beautiful blind in the bedroom.
