The Best Photo Gift Options Available

Photo gifts seem to be popping up everywhere these days, from our favourite high street stores to all across the World Wide Web. It seems that you can put your own photos on pretty much any household item now, from mugs and coasters, to cushions and bags to even photo paperweights and vases! (And what photo gift would be complete without wrapping it up in your very own handcrafted photo wrapping paper?!).

With all this choice available, we thought we’d choose our pick of the best options out there so you don’t end up going photo mad when it’s your loved one’s birthdays! Here’s a few of our favourites.

Mugs and coasters

Mugs and coasters make the perfect gifts as everyone loves a good cuppa, whether your tipple of choice is tea or coffee! Personalised mugs with names on are great but we like photo ones even more to brighten up the kitchen and to make that morning coffee slightly more bearable. Coasters shouldn’t be forgotten too to avoid those pesky water rings on the table. There are personalised coasters found here really cheaply, too.

Phone and tablet cases

If the person you’re buying a gift for is never seen without their favourite gadget in hand, a photo cover for their pride and joy is a good choice. We like this idea as it’s not too over the top or in-your-face with photos and it also solves a purpose as they’re good for protecting our precious phones and tablets. (Just make sure you get the right size or it could be a little awkward when it comes to opening it on their birthday!).

Keepsake jewellery with a twist

Jewellery is always a winner by anyone’s standards and you can use photos to bring the classic locket bang up to date. We love this photo portrait necklace that has a fantastic old, vintage charm whilst incorporating your own, modern photos. This is the perfect choice in particular for grandparents as grandmas with no doubt love showcasing their pride and joy on a chain next to their heart.

Diaries, calendars and notebooks

A lovely way to get things organised is with a diary or calendar, and now some companies give you the option to put your own photos onto specific dates to give you a visual reminder of those important days. Notebooks with photos on the front cover are also really lovely and are a fab gift for students who have millions of things to write down and remember!

Fridge magnets and key rings

These two options are good as they’re little and therefore make a great little addition to any gift if you’re worried it’s not special enough. They’re a great way to brighten up boring fridges and keys and again, have an actual practical use so will come in very handy. You can get these really quickly, easily and cheaply from most photo specialist stores and websites in a range of shapes and sizes, too.
