Top 10 Cook with Kids Tips and Persil Cook with the Kids Promise
Little man loves cooking and having fun in the kitchen, I have previously shared our Top 5 Tip for Baking With Kids. We try to make delicious cakes whenever we can!
Persil has launched a Cook with the Kids Promise, aimed at getting 100,000 parents to sign up to spend time baking and making mess with their kids.
A few weeks ago, we attended an event to find out more about the campaign based on the research that 88% of parents avoid cooking with their children because of the mess they might make.
I must admit I don’t usually cook with little man during the week as we are always rushing, however we make the most of our weekend by making delicious pancakes for breakfast or cakes in the afternoon.
During the event, little ones learnt how to make a simple pizza dough and decorate pizzas with their favourite fillings. While the pizzas were in the oven, they decorated cupcakes with icing and sprinkles. Little man had a lovely time cooking and eating what he made.
There was also a food fight afterwards, it looked fun but little man didn’t feel comfortable joining in and getting dirty with ketchup, spaghetti and cream – find out more about the food fight in the video below.
I’ve signed up to Persil Cook with The Kids Promise and pledged ‘I promise to let the kids enjoy baking and making a mess in the kitchen’.
You can also make the promise by visiting http://www.persildishwash.co.uk/cookwiththekids/ and after signing up, you can download a handy PDF with tips to get baking and making a mess with kids and simple recipes such as fruity dippers, guacamole and chocolate banana bread. Furthermore, by making the promise, parents can also win a kid’s baking kit and a children’s party.
